Knicks at Atlanta Hawks: Game thread
12:59 pm April 22, 2012, by Michael Cunningham
- Larry Drew initially said he would start Jason Collins at center but left open the possibility of changing the lineup if Tyson Chandler doesn’t play. It turns out Chandler will sit, Landry Fields starts and Amar’e Stoudemire is at center. Drew will counter with Josh Smith at center and Marvin Williams at power forward.
- Zaza Pachulia remains out and Drew said he’s still not sure if he will be available for the start of the playoffs: “I’m hoping so. He’s certainly doing better than, from my understanding, what they had anticipated. There is some progress with the injury and where he is with it.”
- Al Horford put his chances of being ready for the first round at 70 percent. Drew: “We are keeping our fingers crossed but we are not totally counting on him. We don’t want to have wishful thinking. When they told us about the surgery that the probability would be very slim so at that point made our mind up we would not get him back.”
- Drew said he anticipates Horford would play “not very many” minutes if he returns: “We would have to work him in gradually. I wouldn’t want to throw him right into the fire. I know his conditioning is not very good because he’s been off for so long. It would be a gradual process to get him back adjusted. It will really be how he feels. When you lay off for that long it’s tough to get your legs under you.”

“A world without women? Scary. Like being in prison with a bunch of dudes for ever. Ugh! Love women to the max. Started with my love for my mother. Good women are treasures that need to be appreciated.”
Punk comments like these don’t get you laid, just so you know.

Even showed a Melo highlight at the end. The only mention of Atlanta, was the very last word, when they HAD to admit that the Knicks were losing.
hahaha . . yeah ESPN.
But like was said in the last blog, to get respect you have to win. Beat Boston in a playoff series, and maybe that will go a long way in changing the perception. Beat the Bulls in the next round, and they’ll HAVE to acknowledge our presence . . even if they’ll be slobbing all over Miami.
ESPN would go into a coma, if they got a Hawks – Pacers Eastern Conference Final matchup.

Hopefully none of the guys here want a world w/o women. I know I don’t. But I think most would prefer a game w/o Doris.

Halftime though, I’m watching the home feed. No time for that ESPN Jon Barry crap.
And Nique, a 5 point lead is not a big lead.

ESPN aka Enjoy Snubbing People NON-NYer’s
they show stats with Hawks even in most but WAY ahead in steals/points off turnovers……. BUT that’s b/c
NY defense was playing without TYLER ?? I thought it was TYSON !! but as long as we got the team name of KNICKS it’s OK………….
