CLEVELAND – The Hawks will be without Jannero Pargo for several games after the guard was scheduled to undergo an appendectomy Sunday night in Cleveland.
Pargo was a late scratch from the game against the Cavaliers with what the team originally called a stomach virus. He was later sent to the Cleveland Clinic where surgery was deemed necessary.
The team did not have an estimate on when Pargo would return to Atlanta or how long we would be out.

Joe has played well against everybody. In the playoffs the game slows down, the Hawks had no other shooters, besides Jamal, who played no defense, so the double teams were effective. There was no bench or back up for him, so let it go man. Classic hater, never count another man’s money, worry about your own.

@ Terrell did u not see the Den and Clipper games Joe scored well then too. Unfortunatenly we had an L in both games. Some people never satisfied Joe took the money and ASG offered it to him more power to u Joe. People act like the heat, lakers, thunder, etc dont lose to below 500 teams give me a break ATLANTA fans. I get frustrated with the hawks too but I never see this much venom given to the FALCONS when they can only muster up 2 FREAKIN PTS in a playoff game. Or when the AJC tells us and other media outlets that the Falcons will go to the superbowl and they have yet to win a DAMN PLAYOFF GAME. Dont get me wrong Im from Atlanta and I want ALL Atl and Ga teams to suceed. I’m just tired of the PASS the FALCONS have gotten for not performing to their capabilities as well. Oh and dnt give me the Matt is still young mess I dont want to hear it. I dont care how much everyone likes Arthur Blank to at the end of the day the Falcons have to perform and live up to the hype or instead of telling us to RISE UP they just SIT DOWN no LAY DOWN! GO HAWKS NOW BEAT DEM CELTICS 2MORRW

I was disappointed when the deadline passed without dealing Kirk, but in light of this, we are lucky to have kept him.

So what should the Hawks do tomorrow night to beat the Celtics, especially given the roster limitations withall these injuries?

LOL @ MattP
T-Mac better put some WD-40 on those damn knees. Even if he stands around and just passes the ball, we need him for about 15 minutes a night until we get people healthy.

Are the Hawks going to put a wavier claim in for either Greg Oden or Ronny Turiaf? With our front line i’d try my hardest to acquire both!!!

Nique, I was thinking the Hawks will go the cheap route and hit the waivers. I wonder if the Nets picked up Gerald Green for the remainder of the season. He would be nice at the small forward position. It would be nice to see him and josh crashing the boards. He would be a upgrade to Marvin.
