Warriors at Atlanta Hawks: Game thread
7:07 pm February 29, 2012, by Michael Cunningham
- Joe Johnson (knee) is in the starting lineup. Larry Drew said he will monitor how Joe feels to determine how much he will play. “I know with tendinitis the best thing for it is rest,” Drew said. “Hopefully these days off will benefit him.”
- Drew said he doesn’t ever plan to make Joe a healthy scratch for the sake of giving him days off: “At this stage of the season, I don’t think it will be a case of giving him days to rest. If we do anything, we will cut his minutes down. Since the season is still in full bloom, we just have to grind it out with the way the season is. What we are cutting back on is the practice. Those are the recovery days now.”
- Vladimir Radmanovic (ill) is out. “He’s had some problems with his stomach,” Drew said. “He missed shootaround, came to the arena to warm up and it started bothering him again. So we went ahead and just sent him home.”
- Zaza Pachulia (calf) is active.
- Erick Dampier’s second 10-day contract expired so the Hawks have to sign him for the rest of the season to keep him. They have yet to do so but said they expect to complete a deal tomorrow. Dampier is at the arena tonight.
- No word on if Al Horford (chest) was cleared to begin rehab.
- Jason Collins (elbow) said he’s scheduled to begin rehab Friday.
- Stephen Curry (foot) is out for the Warriors.

“Horford has poor balance no finesse attacking the rim.”
At least he can make a jump shot.

Najeh Davenpoop what? Josh Smith attacking David Lee only to get muscled off the block not once but twice and having resort to a jumper?
That play? We all know Smith is undersized but Leuer’s mom should cut that video up just too make sure people get the messagge no?

Hawks’ starters and Warriors’ bench all in the plus. Hawks’ bench and Warriors’ starters all in the minus.
Great ball movement but Marvin bricks the 3 and then commits a dumb foul on the other end. Got to do better.

Yeah, that’s the possession I was talking about.
I actually like your Youtube channel a lot. I watch most of those videos you put up there. It just amazes me that you get the time to make those, especially in between knitting sweaters for Leuer.

JJ ’s not worth 30m never mind 124m. What a joke. His game has gone downhill . Really can’t blame it on injuries. LD has got to be the worst coach in the NBA.

Udoh picks Joe’s pocket.
If you are a shooting guard, and you can’t take a power forward off the dribble, well…
Warriors were dumb for picking Udoh over Greg Monroe, but Udoh is a damn good player. A ton of playoff teams could use him.

I don’t think Joe’s knee kept him out of the All-Star. Joe kept himself out because deep down [in his heart] he knew he didn’t deserve to be an all-star. LOL

How many layups can a near-7-foot-tall professional who’s played basketball most of his life miss?! Never seen anything like it. Hawks have no presence underneath.

Warriors going big, Hawks going small, and predictably they give up an offensive board and send Thompson to the line.

Sources confirm the Magic and Warriors are discussing a trade that would send Monta Ellis to Orlando. Nothing is imminent but talks ongoing
