Atlanta Hawks at Lakers: Game thread
Los Angeles–It’s the usual starters for the Hawks. Steve Blake (ribs) is active for the Lakers.
- Jason Collins (elbow) has joined the team here but Larry Drew said it’s doubtful he will play on the trip. That means there’s a pretty good chance Erick Dampier will stick around for a second 10-day contract.
- Collins said the elbow is feeling a lot better and has a checkup with his doctor tomorrow. He’s eager to play. “Especially a game like tonight,” he said.
- Kirk Hinrich said he “feels great” physically and sounds as if he’s ready for more minutes: “I’m just staying patient.”
Hawks players gathered around Josh Smith’s IPad to watch Knicks underdog sensation Jeremy Lin hit a game-winning 3 at Toronto.

In fairness, the Hawks’ ineptitude in this 3rd quarter was due more to bad luck (on layup attempts) than due to the usual lack of energy and poor execution.

Problem is, Lakers have missed just as many shots at the rim. Our layups have been pathetic though. Good Lord.
As I said last week, LD was thinking of changing starting lineup, then I predicted WE’D BEAT INDIANA AND LD WOULD FORGET ABOUT LINEUP CHANGES
LO AND BEHOLD, LD HAS NOT CONTEMPLATED LINEUP CHANGES SINCE THEN
This Ish happens EVERY SINGLE YEAR. Just when LD or Woody are about to switch things up, we win.
LD would not be a head coach on any other team in this league.
None of these assistants would make it on any other coaching staffs.
Marvin would not be a starter on any other team

Terrible subs….switching of Marvin checking kobe and taking josh out and leaving Marvin in and not trying to exploit Teague against the lakers pgs killed us tonight! Coach drew what can I say!

This is uneffin real. Have tickets for 7 more games, gonna root for the other team just so I can have some fun at a game. This season has been a major disappointment, can beat the sh$$$ty teams by 20 but look like crap against any team over .500. And no hope on the horizon, unless they have a Lin somewhere on the farm. Just think, JJ’s salary just keeps going up up up and up until it’s over.
And D. Wilkins SUCKS as an announcer.
Oh and Jsoooooooviped should be an all-star.
