I’m not in San Antonio and neither is Chris Vivlamore. Bob Rathbun is there and he says Kirk Hinrich will play.
Here is a place for you to discuss the game. I will post my two cents when it’s over.

I thought Drew said Hinrich would be coming in for the 1 and 2 guard, looks like he is trying to get him back into the starting PG spot. I think Hinrich would be a great fit beside teague right now in the back court.

Teague -1, Kirk -14. The deficit is 15. Basically the Hawks have played the Spurs to a draw while Teague has run the point, and have gotten their asses kicked while Kirk has run the point.

Hawks miss an easy 2.
Also, this is another game where teague has a great first half, but disappears in the 3rd. I wonder how much of that is tied in to the Hawks bad 3rd quarters…

And yeah, Vlad has no business being in this game unless the Spurs start playing zone, and even then he can’t guard anyone. The fact that he came in instead of T-Mac makes me wonder if T-Mac hurt his back again.

I agree with Najeh.
If anybody can play an entire half in this game, it would be Teague.
Starters have basically played even with the Spurs when they played. But the bench has been horrrible.
LOL . . and now we’re missing wide open layups

as I’ve been saying…
Drew is a f’n idiot tonight.
It’s plain and f’n simple. Pargo’s been playin well. You bring him in to spare Teague, Hinrich to spare Joe. You don’t need Hinrich, whose coming fresh off of an injury, to run around and try to stay in front of Parker…

Najeh,
Ivan is -16 in 12 mins. T-Mac is -10 in 9 minutes. The bench as a whole has not given the Hawks much.

Drew laying an egg! He has messed up the rotation trying to get Kirk minutes that belong to Pargo. Kirk can’t stay with Parker. By the way Joe has disappeared again!

If recognizing that Teague has been by far the Hawks’ best player tonight is a bias, then draft me #2 overall in the 1986 draft.

Seriously, the only PG Hinrich should be compared to in Pargo. There should be room for both Teague and Hinrickh on this squad. Its like having quality depth at PG is a bad thing. Pargo is NOT quality depth.

“Ivan is -16 in 12 mins. T-Mac is -10 in 9 minutes. The bench as a whole has not given the Hawks much.”
I agree, but at least in those cases, mismatches are unavoidable because of personnel issues. The Hawks simply don’t have a better big man than Ivan. The Hawks have a guard rotation that has worked, and LD is screwing it up for no reason trying to get Kirk minutes. Aside from knocking down a couple of long 2s, Kirk has done nothing in this game, and yet he has received 12 minutes at point guard hopelessly trying to guard Parker and Joseph. This is LD’s fault and was completely avoidable.

Pargo can spare Teague effectively though Astro…
He hasn’t been playin’ all that bad. He brings aggressive defense and has a decent jumper.

Quality depth at PG is great, but not at the expense of a complete lack of depth at C.

Hawks starters played the Spurs virtually even . . despite JJ and Josh struggling offensively.
It was the bench that played like crap.
We’re down 21 points
Vlad Rad has a +/- of ( -21 )
There’s your deficit right there.

1-3 against the last 4 good teams they’ve faced, with all of the L’s being blowouts.
So now the Hawks get a chance at a couple of “big wins” against New Orleans and Detroit to reassure themselves that Josh Smith is an all-star, the Hawks can get to the ECF, and cry about why the team hasnt moved up in the “Power Rankings” after beating sub .500 teams.
The Hawks are average, and you fans who think wins against the Wizard, Bobcats and the like mean anything are clueless.
