No T-Mac tonight. Shouldn’t matter against the Bobcats, but it inevitably will.

I knew this team was done when we got blown out in game 6 at home against the Bulls.
I’m not going to name no names but some were on the bench laughing in the final minutes.
This Hawks team needs accountability. We are too immature. This team needs to be blown up and a coach needs to come in and change the culture.

Josh has the talent of a complementary player but plays like he thinks he’s a superstar. Joe has the talent of a complementary player but is paid and given a role like he’s a superstar. Al has the talent of a complementary player and plays like a complementary player.
======
So if Smith does not “play like a superstar”. IE he does not shoot it. Who shoots the ball?
Marv/Al?
Then you would start blaming Marvin for his off balance shooting or start blaming Horford for bricking post moves and air balling fadeaways.
Just dont get it. Smith plays like he’s a complementary player.
Problem is he’s complementing Marvin Williams. PERIOD.

What people forget, is that the TNT and NBATV studios are in Atlanta. So a lot of those studio guys may take in a game every now and then at Philips. Barkley has seen this team plenty of times, as have Webber and Kenny Smith. They know what we’re about. They’re not just throwing out baseless ish when talking about the Hawks.
LOL @ the NBA claiming copyright on the video that showed Barkley railing on the Hawks and Weight Watchers. So if you wanted to keep watching it every now and then, you may be out of luck.
OK . . the one good thing about this condensed schedule, is that you don’t have a lot of time to rejoice over wins or wallow over losses. Bobcats are up in about 85 minutes. You people that like to slit your wrists over every bad loss may not watch this game, but I’m VERY INTERESTED to see how this group responds tonight. Even if they find a way to lose tonight, I fully expect a win tomorrow against the Bulls.
Hawks = Chargers . . . or better yet . . . Hawks = Cowboys

Northcyde,
Not sure if we win tomorrow night. I see where you’re coming from, but it’ll be our 3rd on 3 nights and we played 1.333 games last night with all those damn minutes.
I think we win big tonight. Willie and Vlad will combine for 30.
We will lose a thriller tomorrow night

This was my post on Saturday:
If these are the same ol’ Hawks, we will probably go 2-6 [sic] in the next 6 games.
@HOU L
@MIA W
@CHI L
MIA L
CHA W
CHI L
Tonight @ Houston is one of those games where we are just down 11-2 early and lose 97-84.

I stand by my prediction.
Win tonight with Vlad and Willie combining for 30. Lose a thriller tomorrow night.
Good thing is our 8 games after tomorrow night are extremely winnable. Should go 6-2 or 7-1 in that stretch, but given the mental fragility of this team, I’d say 4-4 is more likely

Hawks do NOT equal Chargers or Cowboys. Rivers is considered elite or near elite. We have neither.
They also went 14-2 one year. We went 53-29.
Hawks = Falcons = UGA —-> Good teams that will never win jack**** because of teams like GB, the Saints, LSU Alabama, South Carolina/Florida/Auburn

“So if Smith does not “play like a superstar”. IE he does not shoot it. Who shoots the ball?”
The problem isn’t Josh taking shots. (The problem isn’t even primarily Josh, no matter how many people commenting here think so.) The problem with Josh is that he takes shots outside of his comfort zone. Real superstars are comfortable taking shots from a variety of areas on the court. The only area from which Josh should be taking shots is the low post when he catches it with his back to the basket.
Yes, the problem is that Josh (and Joe and Al) don’t have a better player to complement, which is why either Teague needs to become better than any of them or two of them need to be traded for Dwight. Your Bogut trade isn’t going to solve that problem. Bogut isn’t any more of a go-to scoring option than anyone on this team.

“Hawks need more white players…”
Al Nowitzki is not enough? His IQ will carry us to the win.
How about Josh Smith for Chris Kaman.
Marvin.Horford. Kaman
There, everyone gets to see Horford, 2 time college champ, play Tebow and carry the team. We get a white starter everyone is happy.
Smdh. Its shouldn’t be about white or black. But in a way it is.
Smith the stereotype of a guy who jumps high should win no matter what, no excuses. Horford gets a pass because he’s not a high jumper.
Yet one is 6′10 250 and another is 6′8 225. I guess American Racial Stereotypes win out against American Napoleon Complex.

Rod,
The only bad part about Chuck’s comments last night were that they were at Philips and not at a road game, so all the DBASKG owners and fans who were at the game didn’t hear them live.
Other than that, they were perfect.

I’m so f’ing tired of Smoove’s “We Know We Can Play With Anybody” remarks.
When will he realize that ANYBDOY IN THIS LEAGUE can play with ANYBODY on ANY GIVEN NIGHT?
GSW beat CHI this year. MIA almost lost to MIN (BS Ref’ing) and Charlotte.
STFU and say “We Want To Win A Ring. Anything Less Is A Failure at this point”
LOL @ Horford dragging him onto the court for 3OT last night. I guess Smoove didn’t want to win

I am pretty sure Sloan is active because T-Mac is inactive. Unless this game is a blowout I wouldn’t expect to see Sloan.

Drew on Teague: “I think he is letting some of the stuff get to his head. Mentally, he’s got to get tougher and push through that.”
OH YOU MEAN LIKE YOU BENCHING HIM ALL LAST SEASON EVEN THOUGH HE WAS THE BEST POINT GUARD ON THE TEAM AND F-CKING WITH HIS HEAD BY TAKING HIM OUT FOR PARGO EVEN WHEN HE IS PLAYING WELL? DUMBASS

———-
People are so blind sometimes. What area does Josh Smith “complement” Dwight Howard?
Thats like saying Amare complements Carmelo. Shawn Marion complements Tyson. No they don’t.
Dwight+Josh is a supplement. They Supplement, (add to each others) defense.
Ryan Anderson complements Dwight Howard. A “complement” covers up for the others liabilty.
Josh Smith’s complement is a shooter. We have Marvin.
Complements are Andersen, Dirk (HoFer), Kevin Love, Jon Leuer. Not Dwight Howard.
On Bogut being a go to scorer…. You run motion offense and inside mismatches happen where we get offensive boards from inside size Bogut at center, or Smith at SF.
A go to player… Centers aren’t go to players anymore. On a winning team shooters would create shots and Dwight and another big would dominate offensive rebounds.
Dwight is no Shaquille. Ironically Dude even called himself an undersized speed center a year ago.

You are probably right but I found it interesting last night Pargo only got 6 minutes and the second half LD put Green and Johnson at PG.
I remember seeing the lineup of J. Johnson, Williams, I. Johnson, Smith, Horford
