Douchebag AJC closing our blog any minute. When they close it, make all Hawks comments on Page 1 of every new Bradley and Schultz column. Let them know they can’t shut us up and lets have fun trolling the Falcons and Braves fans they keep blogs open for.

Najeh,

I am not a football fan, but as an “adopted atlantan” I follow at a moderate distance what happens with all ATL teams (I do watch football every once in a while).

I watched with some morbid curiosity Vick’s comeback last year so my guess is that it is painful to go through this experience as a Falcons’ fan.

But, as a layman asking an opinion, don’t you think Vick in ATL may not have been exactly the same player that he apparently has become after his time in jail and his redemption?

As his path into unlawful and questionable activities apparently testifies, wasn’t Vick more or less stranded in a “vastly talented, already extremely wealthy, but not focused enough” mode?

Could it be that after his conviction he would always need a fresh start somewhere else in order to going back into full warrior mode? He also had to prove his worth last year in order to get the $$ and be able to pay his debts, so the space for him to show flashes of immense talent but lack of maturity was gone.

I would go out on limb and say that in much much much less extent, J-Smoove suffers from the same problems.

He is not was talented/gifted as Vick and also not as potentially volatile, but he lacks the maturity that Vick also seemed to lack.

Am I wrong?

It’s pretty freaking annoying that the blog does not have a mechanism whereby you have to log on in order to post and that way lock in your moniker.

How difficult would be to implement this? Heck, not only we have to put up with gazillion messages saying that “Thabeet is the next Mutombo” but also have to out up with childish behaviors?

vava74;

We have an All-Pro QB in ATL now named Matty Ice !
Last time I checked, he was pretty good.
The Falcons have had 3 consecutive winning seasons,
for the 1st time ever.
They won 13 games [reg season] last season.
Vick is gone. New era is here.

For those who contrast the shading,
of pheomelanin Matt -vs- the eumelanin Mike;
understand that the rest of the offense consists of :
Fullback = whatever a mughelli is ? (eumelanin)
RG = ?
Clabo = I swear – I don’t know his melanin count.
[nor his eye color]
Center & LT = pheomelanin
TE = latino (coffee with cream) I don’t know ? [bronceada-lanin]
The rest = eumelanin
[not my melanin, but eumelanin]

Final count: (offense)
pheos – 3
eus – 5
brons -1
?s – 1
don’t knows – 1

(defense)
11 – 0;
unless Beer-man plays.

How do you reckon I figured out who you are?

Now go away, or, I’m gonna let the “cat” out’a the bag.
(no need for a mouse-trap when you have a cat)
AJC already knows…Ha !

Time for…..G-dad’s Trade O` the Day;
*[the new CBA could change everything]

Memphis gets – Joe Johnson
-in return-
the Hawks receive – Rudy Gay & OJ Mayo
-why does Memphis do the deal-
* They have already signed Randolph
* They did as we did & gave Gay too much money
* They need to re-sign Gasol
* Mayo = salary dump
* By switching allocations from Mayo to Joe,
they can use the xtra $ for Gasol. *[5.6 $ mil $ next yr]
plus – Joe plays the [2] pos.
Memphis immediately a threat in West !

Hawks = No Brainer !

sorry vava74, that is pure unadulterated nonsense (would say it louder if i could as in bs) and slander to even come close to putting josh in that light. as a fan who loved to see mike vick play, we were often not allowed to because he was not interested in learning the game of playing it, training to do it and staying sober mentally and that is testimony. i suspected he was stoned sometimes he played back then specifically a game in san diego and it was confirmed along the way where he even admitted to quitting. he had the same high ankle sprain josh had and took three months to recover and josh was out there in two weeks flying through the air as mike was saying he couldnt be himself with the injury essentially quitting on his coach who was bringing him along correctly.

thankfully mike has served his time and has righted himself from the depths he took himself that no one else had a part in, associating himself with the wrong crowd. josh drives me crazy and i have been the first here to suggest he could use a bit of help in the sports psych field as many have including braves icon john smoltz but josh smith has always played hard though sometimes not in the way people wanted him to and has trained hard to develop every step of the way including his three ball ;-) and several years ago to going to houston to work with the dream, long before queen had a notion to do it. dont put josh in that category. sorry, it doesnt belong in a conversation about josh smith and shallow of you to go there as an occasional atl sports fan. maybe compare him with the self destructive powers of tiger as someone who had the world at his finger tips, as did mike, to think he was above it all, to see it fly away in a burning heap but not josh
