my main question is why did we get an assistant from a guy we fired? i mean you fire woody for not developing young players, for only going 6-7 deep rotations and for running the iso-joe.
what do we do after we fire woody? hire his assistant who STILL doesn’t play young players, who goes 7-8 deep rotations usually, and now we have this “motion” offense that still incorporates alotta iso’s except now jj is scoring less than last couple of years, horford who was like the the team leader, but now is begginning to turn soft, josh smith is reverting back to jumpers, and Crawford is playing more and more minutes at point guard.
so i ask again, what is the benefit of hiring the assistant of the guy you fired??

LD=Kevin Lougery one of the worst basketball coaches in NBA History!! He lost 7 of 10 games for over 20 plus years..But since he belonged to the “club” he kept finding jobs…………………..Sucked like LD…………..Clueless like Jim Moron….

And don’t forget the transplants like Babyface,Usher,Toni Braxton,T.O…We even had the Heavyweight Champion of Boxing one time in Evandor “Real Deal”Holyfield who is from Atlanta not a transplant..
U see how people come here,visit,and then they come back and buy homes..They don’t do that in Houston..
Just like u did,by coming here and leaving Houston.

What stats are you referring to? If I recall correctly, we advanced to the 2nd round in Woody’s last two seasons. We found ourselves in back to back game 7’s in the 1st round in his last two seasons. We played the Heat in the 1st round and beat them in 7 – then we played Cleveland and got rocked. We played the Bucks in the first round the following year and beat them in 7 – then got rocked by a whopping 20+ ppg. Not even close to winning a game.
Not sure what stats you’re looking for. I didn’t even really have stats in my posts, so I’m not sure why you’re stat-checking me.

5thward come on bra. The only thing you are right about is the Hawks are trash.Does Atlanta have gay dudes? Absolutely. Also what we have is some of the best looking women in the world, something that cannot be said about Houston. Rappers? Do Waka and Soulja Boy really drown out the likes of Ludacris, Outkast, T.I.,? I think not. Your city is almost completely irrelevent in music and sports so thats why you bring your hate. It must be terrible knowing we have a garbage basketball team and tons of gay guys yet we still hold the title of the King city of the South.

The spirit group did not listen to us (the fans) when we pleaded ” PLEASE DON’T MAX JJ”. Since TSG knew better than the fans, TSG can buy the tickets to pay his salary. I will never attend another game as long as JJ plays for the Hawks. I’m not gonna be watching much either.

houston is widely known and respected for it’s underground scene. atlanta makes weak, homo, pop songs for the mainstream. meanwhile houston has real underground rappers like trae, z-ro, k-rino, killa kyleon, and chamillionaire.
old school houston, everybody in the screwed up click was better than anything gay-t-l put out. geto boyz, ugk, lil keke, fat pat, big hawk, big moe, etc.
real hip hop.
atlanta stole crunk music from memphis and before that stole bass music from miami.
t.i. got knocked out when he came to houston in cloverland..
but forget rap.
let’s talk about atlanta’s fake, self pro claimed “capital of the south” title, even though houston AND dallas have bigger city and metro populations, better economies, better mass transit, more fortune 500 companies, more diverse populations.
atlanta is a fraud at everything they do, except having a HUGE homosexual population.

Why did Sund only go after JJ in the off season, hell Stoudemire would have made a bigger impact on this squad. I just sick of it now ,because clearly Drew is a farce,why doesn’t he bench Josh ” Dumm azz” Smith & Joe ” Not ready for primetime” Johnson, before benching Teague. By now every team in the NBA knows who they are, who the hell are we?

Najeh – It’s so bad, I was joking with O’Brien the other day, and made the statement that LD was so incompetent that when our seeding is set, he’ll still play the starters 35+ mpg.
I was joking.
Then last night on MC’s Hawks finally settle on lineup post which he did at 9:14 pm (which I currently can’t find, but I didn’t look real hard either) LD said he wasn’t going to rest his starters when the seeding was set. I was stunned.
Something I took as a joke that he would never do, he says he’s going to do. Same article he said Teague was no longer in the rotation. I posted that part earlier today.

To All Of Yall- Once again leave my boys alone. We gonna be alright. Yall talking about breaking up this team. Thats the same thing that happen in 1998 when we lost in the second round to the Knicks. It took us 10 years to make the playoffs. We gonna be alright. It might be a blessing if we fall to the 6th spot. I think Miami will be very tight the first round. We match up better with the Heat than the Magic.

I said he will play less, then less, play well, and then be out of the rotation.
Called it. Unfortunately.
Over the last 21 games, or 29% of the season, the Hawks are:
7-14 .333 winning %
Only 6 teams have a worse winning % over the year.
We have been outscored by 6.9 points per game.
Only two teams have been outscored by more over the course of the year.
So for the last 29% of the season (21 games), we have been an early to mid lottery team.

I agree 100% with everything Section 303 is saying.
Josh Smith is a total cancer to this team as long as he’s allowed to play and behave as LD is allowing him do do.
Don’t even remotely attempt to quote statistics in an effort to come to his defense. Please. Just don’t. If you do, you simply don’t get it. You’re not a mature basketball fan. Anyone who attends the games can see the life go out of this entire team as a result of Josh’s idiotic decisions as well as his all-around behavior and antics.
This is the same team that we’ve had the last three years. They have completely disintegrated! There are no injuries.
IT CANNOT POSSIBLY BE THE FAULT OF ANYONE OTHER THAN LARRY DREW. There is no other culprit or explanation left standing!
No ownership in professional sports, other than the ASG, would have allowed LD to coach another game after last night.

The Hawks are a prime example of a coach who has lost his team. Who is listening to what LD is saying. This is NOT LD fault its the owners. You see all the other team making moves to get better over the last few years. And what do we do stick to the core and try to grow players. Look at who we had to grow Marvin,Al,Josh. Only Al has showed that he is a player every night. When things went wrong is with signing Marvin back,not trading Josh for Stoudemire, and resigning Joe. Keeping joe and having Stoudemire and Al that could work.If the Hawks lost to the magic by 25 ppg last year wait until this year. Oh and don’t forget Lon Kruger and guaranteed season-ticket holders that the Hawks would make the playoffs or get a $125 refund

You’re going old school with Eddie Haas Loserville USA, nicely done. J.J. isn’t exactly Koncak though, cuz J.J. can play, he just doesn’t.
I think J.J.’s way of speaking up about the situation with the team is to simply not play, he just goes through the motions because he doesn’t believe in what’s going on here. He is however taking the money.

Have the “SOFT’S” tuned LD out? Probably turned him off 20 games ago. How can a team listen to an idiot who thinks Josh Smith is a jump shooter. Everytime you look at that STOO-PID face the “smoove” has when someone touches him and he cries foul. Josh Smith and ISO Joe NEEDS TO GO along with that imitation coach LD. The next game the “smoove” will play dummyball(He’s the dummy with the ball). I would hope that mamagement would tell LD to pack up and take his sorry ass on but the end of the season will suffice, as long as he goes and be Rick Sunds flunky somewhere else. Even with the lack of knowledge LD has the team should still be playing for the fans, afteral, who do they think pay their sorry asses.

It seems to me when the trade was made the Hawks lost their chemistry. The enthusiasm is not as high as it once was. They didn’t need Hinrich. They need a big body so Al can go to the 4 spot where he belongs and Josh to the 3. The Hawks might as well have kept Billy Knight, because recent decisions haven’t been any better.
