At least the Thrashers have the excuse of being the lowest paid team in their league.
BUT AS FOR THE HAWKS – this bunch of heartless pieces of human flesh needs to walk into the stands (which deserve to be empty) and hand each person they see a $100 bill for showing up to watch their pathetic butts.
They will be lucky to win 45 games this year – PATHETIC.

L.D. isn’t just giving Woodson a run, L.D. has taken a major lead in that department. He’s winning the battle of incompetence by a landslide at this point.

No one ever seems to answer this question. I’m pretty sure I’ve seen it posted before on one of the blogs here during the season. I guess the fact that people don’t answer means that L.D. is really the worst head coach in the NBA. It seems like no one outside of Kris Willis at Peachtree Hoops can even stand the guy anymore.

In his first season as a head coach, L.D. has accomplished absolutely nothing positive. However, he has managed to ruin anything that used to work. I guess that’s an accomplishment in his eyes. I hope he quits the same way his sun quit on UNC. Either that, or management needs to lay down the law and fire him as soon as possible.

I still can’t believe Jerome said Shiznit live on air……..LD is making Woody look like Phil Jackson. Oh and has anybody seen Jeff Teague? He scored 20 points (all be it in garbage time but he’s bout only one to show yesterday) and then he gets put so far on the bench he’s behind the Gatorade tub.
They should be tired of the ish, but apparently not b/c the ish keeps happening….

It doesn’t matter how healthy this squad is, L.D. will still be on the sidelines. We could have the most promising young players that a coach could ever dream of and L.D. would just misuse them and we’d still lose. Unless we had someone with an alpha-dog personality like Kobe or MJ who would ignore what the coach said, and just do what they felt was right, we’d still lose. Our team is is lead by a spineless loser, and it’s rubbing off on a group of guys who are already soft to begin with.

I am just truly stunned. Didn’t we make fun of Woody for going with a 7 man rotation to make the playoffs when we were 37-45 and an 8th seed?

Hopefully ASG was just waiting for these 3 days off to fire LD. If not, we’re sunk in a bad way.
And whoever put @Houston for us as a win in another blog hasn’t watched the team lately. And if Indy is fighting for a playoff spot, they’re no sure win either.
LD is not just destroying the team, but causing deep divisions with his rotations also. We are truly sunk.
I have followed sports for 38-40 years pretty closely for alot of that. I have never seen the level of incompetence I see with LD in any sport in any era. Dismantling a 53 win team.

I don’t i would put Atlanta in the same boat as Texas they have teams that win Dallas , Houston , San Antonio all have won championships its rich sport state . Our teams are just lousy run by bad owners except the Falcons Author Blank is the best owner in Atlanta .

gwinnett fred, im in marietta right now and atlanta is a huge pile of crap. houston has a higher city population, higher metro population, better economy, better transit, better rappers, more diversity, the rockets won titles in the nineties and the hawks never reached the conference finals.
atlanta is trash in. what a backwards town. leaders cant even design an infrastructure to handle traffic. what a huge joke, just like the hawks.

Do anyone out there have words to describe what we witnessed tonight? I have a few hostilities to get off my chest. LD IS STOO-PID, how could he not play Jeff Teague tonight. ISO Joe is a NO GO, the 20 million dollar DUD. Is there anyone out there that thinks Josh Smith has a fuggin brain? He is just too dumb, even when he scores 30 points the boy is still dumb and essentially useless. You folks who continue to believe that the “smoove” is worth something, I pity the fool. Management is going to let LD continue because he’s so cheap, his team plays like that also, a bunch of cheap ball players who are getting paid. We do not deserve this as fans. The “SOFT’S” need to go to the womens league and I bet they will lose there also because they are basketball idiots. Look for more whippings folks and I mean some seriously bad ones are coming. Hope this ends quickly because they are taking the life out of Al. Josh an ISO Joe needs to go, both are cancers to this team, LD is already malignant and choking the lil bit of life that’s left. Just a shame to watch a bunch of well paid young men be such sorry ass players.

Great post. I couldn’t agree more. It’s sickening what has happened to the Hawks. L.D. has made a mockery of this franchise and continues to act like he’s doing everything perfectly. He’s not only a total moron in the basketball sense, but he is so stubborn that it’s almost as if he is hellbent on proving that he is right, regardless of how badly he makes the team look. Also, he’s not only destroying the performance of the team, but he’s also hurting our players. I can only imagine how Teague feels at this point. It’s just a total disaster. L.D. needs to go ASAP. Each game gets more and more painful with L.D. on the sidelines.

Jim Moron was more incompetent than LD. I was pretty young when Jerry Glanville was here, but my memories of him and everything I have heard about him lead me to believe he was also more incompetent than LD. But LD is safely in 3rd place on the ATL Coaching Incompetence Index.

Totally agree, this is just the craziest thing I have ever seen. Maybe LD wants out and is trying to get fired? That is the only explanation I can think of for how he coaches? Maybe LD thinks he can’t coach these guys, which is true, and wants to be fired?
This guy is running the team into the ground! No understanding whatsoever of what this guy is trying to do!
There is absolutely no consideration of defense or playing Teague or trying to control Jamal or anything!

But neither one was this incompetent for this long. Once the hangover from last year lifted, we have been early to mid lottery pick bad the last 25%+ of this season.

We shouldn’t be suprised by this team’s failures. We have an ownership group that makes the Keystone Kops look competent. We have a GM who has made some of the goofiest decisions in the NBA. We’ve got a bargain basement coach who never led a team to any success. Lastly, we have a bunch of mismatched players who’ve been working for a disfunctional franchise and saw the writing on the wall before the season even started.
It’s time to burn the whole thing down, starting at the top.
