Hawks-Nuggets game thread
Greetings, all-
Ken here. Sorry for the late start. A few notes, nothing earth-shattering.
1) Same lineup.
2) Larry Drew’s keys: Defend the 3, transition defense, defend the pick and roll, make Denver work on defense, move the ball side to side, good shot selection. Something tells me you’ve read that before.
3) An obvious matchup to watch is Jeff Teague-Ty Lawson. You may remember that they were drafted No. 18-19 in the 2009 draft.
4) Joe Johnson is still wearing a headband. Not a superstitious type, apparently, or at least someone with an interest in being sanitary, he broke out a fresh Air Jordan headband for the Nuggets.

Joe’s selfish play is driving me crazy. On that last possession, he had three guys collapsed on him in the paint, meanwhile Al was wide open behind him, and he forces the shot, rather than passing. This isn’t the first time he’s done that either.

No need to blow the team up. Get a real coach in there. This is a joke. I have only lived here a few years moving from out of state but this is my home now and for the rest of my families lives. Thought I have my originating home teams that I support, I also support the place I live. This is a joke.
Thought the team quit on Woody last year, I always felt like Woody had an adjustment at halftime and cannot count how many times I saw them come back the last few years. This guys has no clue. We fired Woody for this? The team, itself, has a ton of talent but there is no accountability and the players run the team. What a joke!

I spoke to soon. The defense had them at 75, I went to the kitchen and came back, they got 91 and we down by 18?
WTH happened? We was down by 5 when I got thirsty.
I am so tired of this CORE! To play like this with Mr. Blank in the house.

2 deep @ every position.. they came out good in my opinion..
we’ll see what happens comes playoffs when the game slows down and you need a go to guy.. but w/ their PG play.. hell, everyone is a go to guy..

Hawks suck. Josh Smith hurt the Hawks tonight. Key possession, they get it down to 3 in the 4th Josh jacks another jumper after he had not made 1 all night and misses again. Al did not get enough shots. Jamal should not ever be running PG because he can’t defend the position. LD once again went away from defense and showed that he is a man with no strong convictions and should not be running anything. The Hawks suck bad.

Denver is a bad matchup for the Hawks. Bad matchup for a lot of teams. With that said, Our allstars took the night off.
