Greetings, all-
Ken here. Sorry for the late start. A few notes, nothing earth-shattering.
1) Same lineup.
2) Larry Drew’s keys: Defend the 3, transition defense, defend the pick and roll, make Denver work on defense, move the ball side to side, good shot selection. Something tells me you’ve read that before.
3) An obvious matchup to watch is Jeff Teague-Ty Lawson. You may remember that they were drafted No. 18-19 in the 2009 draft.
4) Joe Johnson is still wearing a headband. Not a superstitious type, apparently, or at least someone with an interest in being sanitary, he broke out a fresh Air Jordan headband for the Nuggets.

Najeh trips me out when he freaks out over every JJ bad play, but tries to rationalize Smith’s mistakes.
Having said that JJ is playing like garbage.
This is why others refer to the Hawks as “soft”. When it’s time to buckle down and get physical and scrap, it’s almost like they have to get down double digits to even realize that.
Zaza, whem motivated, is about the only dude that can ne counted on to simply scrap.

‘Nique is really stressing that the Hawks get Al more touches. When even Nique points that out, you know it’s an issue. The Nuggets are doubling Al in the post every time he gets the ball, however, he’s been open for that pick and pop almost every time, the Hawks have just failed to get him the ball.

I agree that Josh makes some bad plays, but it cant be discounted that on a game by game basis he is the only starter who plays like he truly gives a damn.
If passion comes with a couple of bad plays considering this team, then at some point you have to be willing to deal with it.

Grandma Williams!
Come on Grandma! We need you and Marvin to win this game for us!
Here is his chance to go into that “duffle bag”, and pull that Money Game out! You said he won a game in Washington? Well, we need him to win one in Atlanta! It’s been what? 4 years since Marvin has won one?
Can grand son pull out a miracle tonight? I pray he do, cause’ his shot is on FIYAH!

Josh goes to block the shot, and not one other Hawk comes to help clean up the rebound. He gets a foul fighting off two Nuggets.
Effort. This team is horrible at it.

josh takes ill-advised shot we go from being down 3 to being down 6 in a one possession. He is such a loser, I’m sorry, This whole organization is such a loser, from the top down. I’m a Hawks fan for life, but this whole thing is really hard to support on a nightly basis. They are so inconsistent. At least with Woody we knew we would get effort!

Our defense has actually been excellent tonight. The offense is selfish and ‘turrible’ from all the starters. Are they tired? Then rest tomorrow.
The bench has played outstanding, with Za, Marvin and Jamal leading the way. Teague has done a little but has made no impact either.

OMG! The commercial said, “Will the Hawks give Miami something to cry about? Come see the game!”. LOL!
