Joe Johnson to play vs. Charlotte
Hawks guard Joe Johnson will play Friday night against Charlotte after missing the last two games with tendinitis in his Achilles tendon.
Johnson practiced with the team Friday morning at the team’s shootaround at Philips Arena. Johnson said his Achilles had been bothering for the last month and a half or two months.
“I just felt it was time for me to get a little rest off of it and try and let it heal up a little bit,” he said.
Johnson said he won’t limit his minutes on the floor against the Bobcats. In his absence, the Hawks beat New Jersey but lost at Toronto Wednesday night on a last-second basket.
“It’s going to be good to get back out there with the fellas and start us a new streak,” he said.

Funny now that we won the game, you same clowns that said we will lose and get kicked out in the first round will come back and congratulate. That was hands down the WORST officiated game the Hawks played this year and they still prevailed. Hell of a game on the glass by Marvin, he must have snatched 15 boards.

called a time out with 1.19 to go with the hawks up by 3 after a miss by Jax.
results?
1. Gave a breather to the defense to rest and regroup.
2. Gave the ‘cats enough time also to regroup offensively and for Larry Brown to stop Jax from shooting more from 3
3. We came out WITHOUT ANYTHING DESIGNED OFFENSIVELY AND WENT INTO ISO JOE AND ISO JAMAL

Didn’t see the game, but it takes a playoff mentality to come from behind and win a game in which you were not only trailing the whole way, but your superstar had his worst game. Charlotte ain’t no joke either. They will be a handful for someone during playoff time. Good win for the Hawks.

Great game and good win.. Glad we won the rebounding battle but the Hawks seriously have to box out better. They gave up a lot of rebounds due to not putting a body on someone and boxing out. Hopefully they improve in that area.
Truth serum or whatever name you go by. Does it really take making up a thousand names just to make the same lame point over and over and over again. We get it dude. You don’t like Horford. Good thing you are not a GM. I cant think of any NBA team that would turn down the opportunity to have a guy like Horford on their team…And please give up that bubba crew thing too its wack. But we get it you don’t like Horford but love Woodson.
