Joe Johnson to play vs. Charlotte
Hawks guard Joe Johnson will play Friday night against Charlotte after missing the last two games with tendinitis in his Achilles tendon.
Johnson practiced with the team Friday morning at the team’s shootaround at Philips Arena. Johnson said his Achilles had been bothering for the last month and a half or two months.
“I just felt it was time for me to get a little rest off of it and try and let it heal up a little bit,” he said.
Johnson said he won’t limit his minutes on the floor against the Bobcats. In his absence, the Hawks beat New Jersey but lost at Toronto Wednesday night on a last-second basket.
“It’s going to be good to get back out there with the fellas and start us a new streak,” he said.

This loss is all bibby’s fault. He should have help all over power an old man like theo ratliff and he should have help Al when He got dominated on the boards. Al were are sorry that you did not play any worth will defense againt a retiree and his help. I would like to join the bubba crew and blame this on woody. Woody, you are making al horford look bad by placing him in the center spot and asking him to defend the rack. Shame on you woodson. Why dont you put josh there?Hes a power forward. Gerald wallace stop making horford look bad, cant you see he is evenly matched with an old man in ratliff?

And whomever thought that play was “designed” that way is clueless.
It was helter skelter, Joe dribbled over there but couldn’t get loose, and the closest guy who was open was Josh. There you have it.
