Bibby shouldn’t be playing with the limp, scared he might lose his job! Teague should get more minutes but as Mark Jackson said live with the results and I know how quick some of you guys are quick to change your initial requests! Remember his game against Orlando pre-season 0-18! Live with the results……….Winning games changes everything!

Horford is not a solid center?
We didn’t already beat the Celtics in Boston with Horford taking Perkins to school?
Sure we don’t have anyone to match up with Howard one on one, what team does? Don’t try to give me Shaq, that is just embarrassing.
Maybe the Lakers?

Dashizz- Teague didn’t get enough minutes for you last night? Or does what happen in the game not matter with whatever point you want to make?

@ Daniel I’m just saying when he has a bad night don’t point the finger at Woody….it’s a learning curve & he’s yet to go against CP3, rondo, mo williams…..etc! I’m happy with the win’s but that’s mostly because of Bibby…..Teague’s turn will come….just let him come along slowly and learn….

If Sund extends Woody, it will be because he feels that the Hawks are progressing relative to their talent. The fact that he has yet to be extend however is in no way “disrespecting” Woody. Woody is getting paid, Woody signed a contract. If Sund lets Woody go at the end of the year, it may be bad judgement but it is not “disrespecting”.
Hey, if Woody is not retained, he could always win the Nobel Peace Prize and collect the millions of dollars that comes with the award.

I can’t understand why the fans in Atlanta won’t support the Hawks. The Hawks are a good young team and the Atlanta fans still won’t come out and show their support for this team. I think that’s the reason why a team like the Knicks can come in Phillips Arena and beat the Hawks. I remember when we had a team in Seattle, our fans always sold out the Key Arena and it was one of the loudest arenas in the league, even after we started losing. I’m just saying it’s embarrassing to watch a good young team like the Hawks with no fan support. I tell you what, if Seattle could steal the Hawks from Atlanta, we’ll do it in a heartbeat, and that would teach you sorry fans to appreciate the Hawks.

Thanks for the link RLP. I was not aware of the change in 2007. So the Hawks can knock Boston or Cleveland out of the top three after all. Interesting! Hmmmm……….

O’Brien – you stated that perfectly. If Woody continues to win, makes a nice showing in the playoffs he will be rewarded handsomely. If not, he will get another small extension or go coach somewhere else.

MYCELFROMATL-I agree, it is far fetched, but no more far fetched than the spin TRUTH SERUM is trying to use to support his position. I just used that to show him I could spin it another way to try and support a differect position. To be honest, I doubt very seriously if the article he frequently references and trys to use to support his position even exists.

So no, Mr Sugiura, its not insulting to make the best decision for you and your family when your employer doesn’t see your talents the way you or others do. Last time I checked it was called business.

Truth, you answered your own question. Sund is also exhibiting “business principles” rather than showing disrespect to Woody. He’s evaluating whether or not he wants the guy to stick around down the line. Now, they may not be principles that you agree with, but he’s in charge of the team and its personnel, and it’s his job to take all factors into consideration in making sure Mike’s the guy for him.
I’m not a Woodson fan, personally. I agree with the bottom line that the Hawks have seen their record improve from year to year, but attribute that more to the personnel than the coach. The roster has improved significantly since the early days of Coach Woodson, and I think most people who make the argument that he’s improved the team every year fail to realize or recognize that.
When I look at Coach, I look at the guy who let Josh Smith try to find his inner Steve Kerr from three point range for several seasons without disciplining his butt, the guy who still hasn’t pushed Marvin to another level, the guy who doesn’t seem to have an established offensive system in place, and the guy who’s spent time in the past couple years both arguing with his players behind the scenes and complaining to the media about his contract. It’s my opinion that they’ve underachieved a couple of those seasons. They’ve played with more discipline this season — by far — than in previous years as a team, and I don’t think it’s a coincidence. Woody’s coaching in a contract year with a chip on his shoulder.
The win column has increased incrementally for the past several years, and looking at the bottom line, he probably does deserve a contract extension, but I can’t blame Sund for taking his time due to the reasons above. I like the fact that he’s looking at the bigger picture here rather than dumping an extension on Woody…
