The insinuation that Woodson hasn’t coach according to the level of talent and experience this team has offered the past 4 years is unfounded and insulting. The reality is he has coach at or better than the level of talent and experience that has been available. That is the very reason he is considered a top ten coach according to last year’s coach of the year polls. ESPN and TNT have both added that Woodson is an effective coach. TO DENY THESE FACTS IS TO TOTALLY DISREGUARD THE SUCCESS WOODSON HAS HAD, AT THAT POINT IS NOT CONSTRUCTIVE CRITISCISM BUT A MORAL HATE CRIME. BOTTOM LINE: the birds will be better and more exciting this year. Woodson does have more tools and a more experienced team to work with. Reality check: As it is this team is picked by most major publications and sports entities to finish 4. They cite Horford playing out of position and the lack of a legit center as the reason they won’t rise higher. I agree with them. However, my hope is that we can and will play above that projection. I would like to see a center here too. Maybe one will develop. There is enough talent and chemistry on this team to keep me excited, more than I was as a kid watching sweet Lou Hudson and the pistol Pete Maravich. I’ve was a hawk fan from the expansion year and when the hawks and flames shared the Omni. I’m not a fly by night fan but one in the trenches, from the beginning. Just keeping it real. Shout out to true soldiers, Snowman, Samuel and Truth serum, rays of light in a dark world. Enjoyed you guys last year and I m sure I will again this year.
