The Hawks are a better team. They had a better record.

Much better keepin it real/Reality. Now you are supporting your rants without the insults to our team. I’ve been on one of you guys’ blog as well. So basically, both sides are saying the same thing. The Heat fans are saying they’re going to win in 5 or 6. And us ATL Hawks fans are saying sweep, or win in 5 or 6.

The Hawks have matured and become a team. Basketball is a team sport. There are five players on the court at a time. The Hawks don’t have to rely on one player to win the game for them. Whenever the Hawks have won, it has been as a team. The thing I like most about my A Town Hawks is you never know who will end of being the leading scorer, block shots, steal the ball, dunk, etc. All five players on the court have the potential to take over the game and lead the Hawks to victory. In contrast all the Heat have been talking about is D Wade and how he’s gonna win the game. That’s not enough. I guess Wade’s gonna dribble, pass, shoot and play every position on the court by himself. Well if that’s the case Beasley, Moon and the rest of the team may as well not suit up.

UNITED HAWKS TEAM OF ATLANTA WILL WIN THIS IN FIVE!

MannyT – thanks for the response and some of us may get there late but we’ll get there! I think Marvin’s injury may turn out to be a “fortunate fall” because he certainly strengthens our bench with Flip, Zaza, Solo, West, and maybe Speedy. Maybe after we beat the four MVP favorites (DWade, LeBron, DHoward, and Kobe)Joe Johnson and the Hawks can get some love. You heard it here frist and NOW YOU KNOW!

Oh and yeah we’re living in the past a bit from the 06 title. You would be too if you had experienced that. Wade is not the same player since then. His ego has grown, which is his biggest downfall. But he is also a much better all around player. He made more threes this season than he had in his five previous seasons combined. He’s a shot blocker (a shot blocker! at the 2), a great team defender, and a better passer. This will be his first playoff series as D-Wade 2.0 and your guess is as good as mine as how that will go. It’s kind of a misnomer to say he can’t win the series “by himself.” Of course he can’t. But when he’s on, the kids play better, Haslem plays better. So I dunno. I guess we’ll just have to wait til Sunday to see how it goes.

Heat fan here. Trash talking is a bit stupid with no games having been played yet. I haven’t watched the Hawks enough this year to offer an intelligent comment on who’s gonna win the series, though I did go to both of the Heat-Hawks games in Miami. I don’t think either one was a representation of how this series was gonna go. The first one was pre-JO/Marion trade and the second game the Hawks just did not show up. The games in Atlanta, the first one maybe was the best indicator but it was still pretty soon after the trade and this last game on Tuesday, come on.

One thing I can definitely see is that most of you are underestimating Miami’s supporting cast. And no, I’m not on here because I’m afraid. I’m on here cuz its interesting to talk with other fans. I love the playoffs. I always go read local coverage from the other side.

Miami-Atlanta: This will be the swan song for Hawks coach Mike Woodson, too demanding of his players and too often feuding with Josh Smith. The series will also have people reconsidering their MVP vote after Dwyane Wade averages 42 points per game and personally gets the Heat through. It would be nice if he gets some help, perhaps from Jermaine O’Neal, ideally from flighty rookie Michael Beasley. In any case, Wade is just that good. Heat in seven.

Reality, you don’t have too worry about the music being played after the Hawks 1st round win. B/c we are expecting to beat yall. So no need for you to comeback here to eat crow. Instead, you can use that time to scout draft prospects…..lol

I’ll be here all series, before and after too.

We Heat fans have nothing to lose. Our team is not really supposed to compete this year, moreso next year and then the biggie in 2010.

It’s been a fun year, and Wade has been a monster. I expect him to dominate in the playoffs, so I’m excited.

I’ll eat crow if the Heat don’t win, no problem. I’m not at the same emotional level as I was 2-3 years ago when the Heat were championship contenders in the playoffs with everythng to lose.

So yea, I’m talking trash because I really do think the Heat will win. But if they don’t, I’ll be here to face the music from you Hawks fans.

Heat in 6, let’s do this.
