Everyone has the right to their own opinion, unfortunately many are parrots for what others think & say. I call these types - Sheeple. They blindly believe anything that "their" people tell them, no matter how out of touch with reality it might be.

Roy Barnes is a pretty good attorney, but when he became Governor of Georgia, he just blew it. It's almost as if he lost his mind. My thoughts are that he promised too much to those special interests that backed him in his election bid. With that being said, I'm sure that those same people are pushing his candidacy again. The leftist, unholy, liberal Democratic Party has not changed, in fact, they feel empowered by the Presidential Election. Roy may have said he got the message, but I'd say, the message he got was that he was going to run again to push thru the same old tired liberal forums that we the people of Georgia has fought against.

Democrats on the local level, like those in Cobb Co., have no thought of speaking to their own Constituents. One in particular, Stephen Thompson, is never heard from EXCEPT when it's time for Re-election. Then he trots out the same ol' tired campaign garbage that clogs your mailboxes. The Sheeple keep electing him as if he's actually done anything for the 33rd Senate District of Georgia. Laughable at best, horrendous at it's worse. Roy Barnes lived in this particular district. Do you think he'd do anything different than his own "homeboy" Thompson? I say no.

Roy Barnes got beat because he was a domestic terrorist always threatening everyone who disagreed with him. Threatening your job, your business or your contract if you didn't contribute big bucks to his campaign, your legislation if you questioned his legislation and anything else he could think of to threaten you if you did not toe the Barnes line. I doubt if he has changed. Power corrupts. He threatened enough people during his time as Governor that it caught up with him and they kicked him out of office even though he had millions in campaign cash - millions that were raised through threats and intimidation. Is he still a domestic terrorist?

History is extremely important. Be vigilant to remember the history of The Old World, why our ancestors came to this new world and what they were trying to escape. Don't build this nation to resemble the nations from which we fled. And, start now by not reelecting government officials who don't stay true to our Constitution. Dont forget the history of Roy Barnes.

In 1998 Governor Roy Barnes had a good transportation and economic plan that would have helped Atlanta and all of Georgia that included creating the GRTA and OneGeorgia state authorities. But unfortunately for all of us ... party leadership and particularly his "handlers" Bobby Kahn and Joe Young undermined his good intentions to the detriment of all Georgians.

If Roy has truly caught the vision of what he and his former party leaders did wrong then this could be the opportunity of a life time to fix many of the problems Georgians face.

With Democrats in full control of the purse strings in Washington and setting the agenda including those on transportation, the economy, education and health care, why would any voter want a Republican standing in the way of progress for the next four years.

Give the man a chance to prove his character. He says he's a Christian, let's see if he acts like one and shows us a depth of character to ask for forgiveness and then acts with truth and justice to the benefit of all Georgians, friend and foe alike.

You want to trust a politician & lawyer that has already screwed over the people of Georgia...??? ... and you're a teacher!!!! Be a Democrat, but don't be a Sheeple.....learn to think for yourself....research all the subjects that pique your interests and vote for the person that actually agrees with your positions....please, PLEASE don't blindly follow the party line and vote for whomever they tell you to vote....we've had far too many years of foolish, blindly following voters that only vote party lines and refuse to look at all the other candidates that are running. Too often we are faced with the choice of the lesser of two evils.....we are losing our freedoms....we are losing the very foundation of our nation by those in power ignoring the Constitution or interpreting it to their own personal gain for power or money or both.
