its been common knowledge he’s trying to get out for some time.
spends us into oblivion, hangs a boat anchor (Atlanta Center) around our necks to build himself up, and then waves bye bye?
any wonder why higher ed is broken?

the irony is, despite all the damage he’s done, we need him to stay.
whoever comes in behind him will almost certainly be mandated to cut folks like Freddy Kruger

@bootney.
Keep grinding. That ax will soon be no more, but please don’t forget one simple and immutable fact: he came in when a major campus was lost and was told to expect a huge drop in enrollment and layoffs. He didn’t accept that, took decisive action and voila! enrollment INCREASED and no one got laid off. AT has done many positive things for GPC, but that one item put him on my list of people to be admired.

ah, reason…
can’t help but wonder what color the sky is in your world.
one little fact for you. he was brought in too shrink the school.
that was part of his mandate from day one. if you’ve been around as
long as you claim, you know we’re in the bottom 5 or 6 of funding.
and the BOR has made it plain that is not every changing.
the aim of shrinking the school was to bring us in line with our
funding realities.
you may be happy living a ponzi scheme, but not me. putting off the
inevitable does not prevent it – and usually makes it worse.
