I hope to create a box of upcoming education events but until then I will have to post them as regular blog entries. Here is one on Tuesday that may interest would-be professional musicians and performers.
The Juilliard School will be offering a free special presentation for prospective students and families, titled “Juilliard in Atlanta.” Representatives from dance, drama and music admissions will offer a program about applying and auditioning for Juilliard, followed by a Q&A, Tues., Oct, 13, from 6:30 – 8:30 PM at Tri-Cities High School, 2575 Harris St., Atlanta.
Alums of the noted performing arts college include Van Cliburn, Miles Davis, Philip Glass, Kevin Kline, James Levine, Laura Linney, Patti LuPone, Yo-Yo Ma, Wynton Marsalis, Audra McDonald, Itzhak Perlman, Leontyne Price, Sara Ramirez, Steve Reich, Leonard Slatkin, Kevin Spacey, Paul Taylor and Robin Williams.

Typical AJC content. You would think they could spell “Juilliard” correctly.

SteveR. I can’t find any misspelling of Juilliard in the post.
Where is it?

Congratulations to any student who has the talent to just audition for them. Oh, how I would have loved to have had that opportunity. Eastman School of Music would have been great, also.
