The governor’s race surely will be remembered for its bitterness, and Political Insider’s Jim Galloway has collected 25 television ads – or “reputation killers” – that show just how ugly the race became. Says Galloway:
Whoever wins the contest, Tuesday or on Nov. 30, will start his tenure as one of the most disliked individuals in the entire state, courtesy of millions of dollars worth of scurrilous TV ads that have smeared the reputations of Democrat Roy Barnes and Republican Nathan Deal like peanut butter on a fine tablecloth.
The stain will take some effort to remove.
