Rush Limbaugh gives Nathan Deal a shout-out

On Monday, Republican nominee for governor Nathan Deal got an all-important shout-out from talk show archbishop Rush Limbaugh, who took up the matter of GOP candidates and poor finances.

Said Limbaugh:

”Chris Dodd gets all these sweetheart deals from Angelo Mozilo, whatever his name was at Countrywide on these mortgages?

“That’s something you and I can’t get. That’s something Christine O’Donnell can’t get. That’s the kind of stuff that’s acting people. This is what the ruling class doesn’t get.

“The fact that some guy named Nathan Deal had a failed business venture and might have to sell his house and liquidate other assets to cover the debt, that’s something people with relate to. He’s not stealing from anybody. He’s not being shown any favoritism. He took a risk, he’s paying the price, and he’s running for governor. He can relate to a lot of people.”

As usual, Limbaugh gets his facts wrong. I wonder if he just doesn’t know about Nathan Deal’s salvage business and his long sweetheart deal with the state that he used his Washington staff to try to maintain.

Even if I had thought about voting for Deal, an endorsement by Rush Limbaugh would have sealed the deal for me to vote for Roy Barnes.

Not to mention that it was stated in the initial AJC article that Deal went to a bank in North GA to get a second or third loan for the very same business. That bank gave him a loan which was far more than the value of the property (using the inventory as collateral) and later was shut down and sold to another banking institution in SC after the discovery of mishandling the money and making shady deals……

Rush the idiot speaks again……
Most Georgians can’t relate because we couldn’t obtain a million dollar loan in order to get ourslves into such a huge mess.

If Deal wants to relate too many of his fellow Georgians, please tell him to co-sign a million dollar loan for the rest of us. I’m sure most of us could find a much better business deal, punt intended.

yeah Deal got a 2nd and 3rd loan on a struggling and failing business– how many of us would get that same treatment being in the same position????? Don’t forget the $135k he paid to lease and aircraft———to his own company. the writing is on the wall— some just dont want to see it.

The problem with Mr Deal is not only the loans, but his failure to disclose this information when running for the Governor job. Did Rush failed to mention that?

DEAL is REAL!! All of the over-educated Liberal Dems HATE a self made businessman! His finances are’t shady, it just comes with the territory when you have become successful and have diversified assets. They ( LIBS) Hate a Baptist Deacon running for Political office. I know him personally, he attends First Baptist of Gainesville, he told me he will stop all the state welfare programs and institute some new policies to getrid of the funding forall social programs and put those responsibilities back to the church where they belong. Keep my tax money away from the generational reciepients of WELFARE and return GA back to the Days of JB Stoner and the likes!!

Lee,
Since when is “overeducated” an insult to anyone. Perhaps to the ploitical party hat relies on an ignorant electorate to get their agenda through.

Limbaugh had a TV show back in the 90’s that came on around 1 am. He had this all white mostly male crowd in the studio audience. Bill Clinton had recently been elected and the radical Republicans were just going crazy. Limbaugh announced during the show, the first family has a new dog in the White House, then they showed a picture of Clinton’s daughter. At that point, I realized Rush is a pig. The audience laughed while Rush had a smirk on his face. People that listen to him need to get a brain. The man is a giant idiot that doesn’t mind attacking innocent children.

Sandra: you never wanted to vote for Deal anyway. Thats a liberal mindset. Why did you want to vote for Deal in the first place? So now Rush empathises with him, you no longer want to vote for him. Get you thinking right. People like you whot vote for the wrong reasons get what they deserve in the the type of leaders that they vote for. Wont be surprised if you voted for Obama. Like the 99% of blacks who voted for Obama because he is Black. Now you see how unprepared, how inexperienced Obama is. Whose fault is it? Figure that out.

Limbaugh is an idiot who says anything to keep his illeducated fan base happy while living in his 14 million dollar manhatten penthouse. No surprize he will endorse a crook like Nathan Deal.

I also see that another week has begun and we STILL haven’t seen Nathan Deals complete tax returns……………….

Considering all the years that Deal was in the Congress and Limbaugh calls him “some guy” I would think is not much of a shout out.

It is not that he is having financial troubles that bothers me. It is the fact that he tried to conceal it. How can you vote for someone when he lies before he gets into office. I prefer that they lie to me after they take office. At least he isn;t a woman beater like State House Rep. Jason Shepherd or Godlfarb or whatever alias he is using to cover up his violent , abusive past..

Limbaugh is just feeding his ignorant listeners the part of the story he wants them to hear. Rush fans don’t want to know the truth anyway so…go figure.

Apparently, Deal has violated GA campaign law again. His latest financial disclosure (the 2nd in one week) uses bank appraisals to value his real estate interests. GA law requires that tax appraisals be used. (No wonder his net worth increased overnight!) Deal, the lawyer, should know this. He can get his banker buddies to put any value on his properties. Afterall, they had to use hyperinflated appraisals to justify those CRAZY loans.

This man is disgusting. Listened to him yesterday and he made a bald statement that all women will sleep with any man to get what they want. What a slap in the face to women. He is so rich that he can afford to say and do what he wants. To think that anyone can make the kind of money he makes for spouting off is disgusting in itself.
