Candidates on the July 20 primary ballots are scrambling to find last-minute donors today as the midnight deadline for the second quarter of the year approaches.
Campaigns for statewide and legislative offices must file reports with the State Ethics Commission by July 8 showing how much money they raised in the past three months.
As such, candidates are making final pleas via e-mail, Facebook and Twitter, as well as through direct mail and personal calls.
The reports will be an important showing of strength — or weakness — just a few weeks out from the primaries.
