Georgia Tech outside linebacker Jeremiah Attaochu will announce his plans for the upcoming season at about 3:30 p.m. Monday.
A junior, Attaochu submitted his name to the NFL draft advisory board to get an evaluation of his potential in the draft. Attaochu was sixth on the team in tackles with 69, but had 12 tackles for loss and 10 sacks, both bests on the team.
Friday, coach Paul Johnson said that “I have no reason to believe that he’s not coming back. I haven’t heard affirmatively one way or the other unless he just hasn’t decided.”

If he comes back, we’ve got the best returning LBs in the ACC.

Still not ready for the NFL. I suspect he will be back. With another year, he will go much higher.

He’d be smarter to come back. His name will be floating around a lot more going into next season. The only recognition he had coming into this past season was the guy who punched Logan Thomas.

Hope he stays to finish his Degree but Money talks. Most NFL players careers are only 3 years so think about finishing the Degree.

Why go pro early just to be drafted in a late round? I think he stays… well I hope he stays!!

Get your degree, Jeremiah. It’s a tough world out there if the NFL does not work out for you. Too many kids don’t have a Plan. And, you are only a college student with eligibility one time. Stay and win the ACC and go to a BCS bowl.

He’s gone, why the heck would he have an anouncement to tell everyone he’s staying? Hope he stays….not gonna do it though.

I’m announcing at 3pm today that if JA leaves GT, GT’s chances of a decent 3-4 defense next year just left with him!!
GT and the 3-4 will have ONE decent OLB in Watts. Maybe an uncommited BEAST of an OLB prospect will change schools or fall from the sky. Since this is probably not going to happen can you say 4-3!

…makes no sense to have a scheduled announcement to say your staying…bad decision, but he’ll have to live with it

would love to see him stay but wish him the best whatever his decision is.
Tech will still have the best LB’s in the south, if not the whole country with or without him.

He is coming back, so that’s good. Without any info on what the draft advisory board said, it’s challenging to say whether I would have done the same. Either way, I hope he stays healthy and gets his degree.

There’s no decision for Sneezy at this point, he only figures to be a 6th or 7th round draft choice, given the deep pool of LBs & DEs in this draft.
Even if he’s given a 4th round “Grade” from the NFL advisory committee, that usually ends up 2 or 3 rounds lower when money time comes.

LB Jeremiah Attaochu has decided to return for his senior season. He led the Jackets in sacks (10) and TFL (12) in 2012.

Personally, I think he is a good linebacker, but not a great one. If pro recruits are graded A, B, or C; my guess is that he is a “B Class” linebacker in the estimation for the pro game. Yes, I think some players should leave early for the Pros if the money is great and they have the potential to be outstanding in the Pros. However, if they are going to be so-so, then they should stay and get the education. I think he has been good in the college game, but not great.

I guess WnE has seen the report from the draft advisory board. It’s interesting that he’s privy to so much non-public information. Tell us more!
