Georgia Tech safety Jemea Thomas will return for his senior season, according to a post on his Facebook account Saturday.
Thomas wrote, “to clear things up I will be at georgia tech next year because I promised my grandmother a degree now go and write about that.”
Thomas was writing, it would seem, in response to an article posted on ajc.com Friday night and printed in Saturday’s AJC. In it, Thomas declined to comment on whether or not he would submit his name to the NFL draft advisory board.
Thomas is having a standout season, leading the team with four interceptions.

“Where was he going to go???”
The Iowa Barnstormers are in dire need of help in the secondary. Duh. Everybody knows that. They would have thrown some serious money at this guy and it shows a lot of character for him to pass up the glitz and glamor of Des Moines to stay at Tech and get his degree. Kudos to him.
THANKS.

C Johnson will finish his degree sooner the Herschel will get out of remedial classes in Athens.
“Academic activities
During the 2006 summer, Johnson, who majored in management with a background in building construction, was given the option of working on either constructing environmentally friendly luxury condos, or a project building solar latrines to improve sanitation in Bolivia.[15][16] Johnson chose the latter, as he wanted to help the less fortunate.[17] The “solar latrines” use the sun’s rays to safely transform bacteria-laden waste into fertilizer” Don’t think that topic is covered under “RemedialStudies”

Too bad nobody can invent a solar latrine that would transform the bacteria-laden waste that is Georgia Tech’s football program into a respectable opponent. That would be something.

Sad…..seems dawgfan has a few chromosomes that never grew to maturity.
NFL people know Thomas has a future in the NFL if he continues his strong play. Granted Georgia has many more pro prospects than Tech, but JT is a good one.

Nice to see someone who still beleives in a REAL education and that is what college is for, not like alot of the people who go to school, well not real schools just to play football.

Great decision Jemea! Get that degree first. No one can ever take that away from you. Your stock will go up next year too.
