Georgia Tech guard Mfon Udofia will probably be a game-time decision for Tuesday night’s game against Georgia, coach Brian Gregory said.
Udofia sprained his ankle in the Yellow Jackets’ loss to Illinois last Wednesday. Gregory said Udofia would be evaluated at Monday’s practice, Udofia’s first since the injury. If Udofia can’t play, Pierre Jordan would start in his place at point guard. It would be just the second start of the senior’s career.
As Tech’s point guard, Udofia is probably the Jackets’ most indispensable player. He leads the team in minutes (30.7 per game) and is shooting 54.8 percent from the floor.
Asked if Udofia would start if the game were Monday, Gregory responded, “Knowing Mfon, I’d say he’d make a go of it.”
