Tech fan falls off railing for second week in row

For the second time in as many weeks, a fan at the game fell over a railing and had to be taken to the hospital. A Tech student, a male freshman, fell over a railing in the northwest section of the lower stands and fell about 15 feet onto the ground in the first half of the game, school spokesman Wayne Hogan said. He was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital and was treated and released after the game.

A week ago, a fan fell 25 feet in the northeast corner of the stadium from a staircase railing onto a service concourse. He was also treated and released the same day. Hogan said the two falls were unrelated.

The poor fellow was probably sick and disoriented from watching Tech attempt to play defense.

Any truth to the rumor that these two are Tech commits for next years class?

Wow buzz, I guess your political stance also applies with football. It’s not working, but I believe!! Football team goes in the toilet because the head coach’s decision making, yet he blames his players fast!! It’s someone else’s fault. Sounds like the Obama camp. The economy is still broken and the debt is huge, 6 trillion in 3 years, but its still bush’s fault. When the federal reserve’s charter expires on 12/21/12 and we have to pay the federal reserve(private) bank 16 trillion what do we do. You don’t see any mention of the private banks charter anywhere in the news.

Also buzz, the suicide rate is sky high because of the economy, and it seems tech fans are following suit, or trying and failing at it. So again this toes into your logic!! Lol

Drownings at Lake Lanier and elsewhere and fans failing could be alcohol, though not always.
Groh has demoralized two teams by getting out-coached every week but many fans incorrectly blame the players.
Tenuta, for one example, could do a lot more with this group.
He would at least blitz enough so the opposing QB does not feel like he is playing in his home away from home. Tevin Washington is the one who feels like he is on the road.
He sometimes does not spot the receiver?
Yea he gets worried, unlike the other team’s QB, that he is about to get flattened.
Tevin played better in regulation in the Utah, VT and Miami games than I thought he could.
If your defense lets the opposing team off the hook after the game is put in their hands, the momentum from being given second life usually provides them the win in OT.
After a full game, the other side’s D may figure out how to play the TO.
Tech’s demoralized D (and now the whole team) is on Al Groh.
When another school is paying their failed coach millions, it is a red flag.
And why should he get three years here to produce?
That is a second reason not to have hired him.

I think about the mouthy Tech fanatics were frothing at the mouth how great Paul Johnson is. I don’t hear anything from them now. That high school office won’t work in D1 football.

Hiring Kirby Smart of Alabama as head coach along with a top notch defensive coach might stop these students from jumping.

Maybe Tech needs to teach Football 101 so fans know and understand Techs Stadium it’s danagers when you mix Whiskey and gravity?

Some your remarks are really hatelful and pathetic. Some of you need to look in the mirror and stop saying that people should jump because of how bad their team is. I saw what happened yesterday. Those kids were very intoxicated. This broke my heart. I hope that kid woke up and said he will never take a drink of alcohol again.

Go easy on the clear whiskey kids. The game is long and it typically gets bad in the 4th QTR/OT so pace yourself and ensure you have enough left over for post game sorrow drowning. When in doubt, always crawl. A four point stance is geometrically more stable and you stay closer to the ground minimizing de-celeration trauma.

Hate to tell ya “Southern Eagle”, but Georgia Southern is no more relevant than any high school program in the state. Even when Erk and CPJ were winning championships there, they were irrelevant. They always will be as long as they are too scared to move up to Div-1. They are bigger than many Div-1 schools, yet they still play against what are essentially junior colleges??? Really??? Sorry, but the only place Georgia Southern (the GSU wannabe) is relevant is in Statesboro. Outside of there, nobody cares about your little program thats afraid to play big-boy ball.
