The Georgia Tech team member who sold two tickets to the Tech-Georgia game last year will miss the Virginia Tech game, according to an e-mail from the NCAA obtained through an open records request. School officials have declined to identify the player, but details in a redacted self-violation report from Tech to the NCAA indicate that it is cornerback Louis Young.
The e-mail from an NCAA staff member to Tech said that the player has been reinstated “based on the institution’s action requiring a 20% withholding condition (Bowl game and first contest of next season).”
