SF at #30 takes A.J Jenkins out of Illinois, same SPEED as S. Hill but is 4 inches shorter and 25 pound lighter, not to mention Kendall Wright (#20? overall) at 5-10 that is 6 inches shorter and also 25 pounds lighter and SLOWER than Hill.

That right there proves my point that CPJ’s system has LOST S. Hill a boatload of cash.

The WRs that get drafted high show productivity by catching tons of balls and they also run good routes, not one time has the commentating team mentioned anything about “blocking” being the difference maker as to where a WR gets drafted.

For all those that disagreed with the venerable WnE, tonites NFL draft is your comeuppance!

If S. Hill had played in one of those other Offenses that resemble a Pro-Style Offense at least from the route-tree perspective, then Hill might have gone #4 over in the slot that Blackmon went in.

CPJ took Randy Moss type athleticism and turned it into a 2nd round (hopefully?) draft pick!

Dear CPJ, S. Hill, his mother, and his father officially hate your guts!

Well, on the bright side Hill can be thankful for Terrance Mathis, were it not for that month that Mathis worked out with Hill and taught him how to be a WR, then Hill might have gone as late as the 4th round, of course I’m assuming that Hill will go in the 2nd Round.

My theory is that if Hill had gone to any other BCS Level college other than GT, then he goes in the Top 20 picks.

CPJ, the dream stealer, and the ruiner of NFL signing bonuses!

___________

I started writing after SF took another WR with the 30th pick, I collected my thoughts, and then submitted my opinions without any profanity or words that would trigger the filters.

It was a coincidence that I hit submit just as the draft was ending.

I am being honest about this because I was expecting SF to draft Hill.

I started writing only after they didn’t draft him.

Gruden might not have liked Baylor’s offense, but ask Gruden what he thinks of CPJ ’s offense to make a fair comparison.

Even though Gruden didn’t like Baylor’s offense for the way it prepares QBs, at least their WRs run the full route tree and do more than just “jump ball passes”.

Even other UGA fans (the real ones) and a Bama fan who was posting on that blog can’t stand him and have called him down on the things he says. Regardless of what any fan thinks of his coach, a PUBLIC forum, where fans of rival schools are generally present, is NO PLACE to air those grievances with the vitriol that WnE displays ALL THE TIME.

“You’re WRONG Mr. Stein bay-Bay played one yr. for Gailey as a RS FR.

In fact he got 2 years of COACHING by the same WR-coach that Gailey used to develop Calvin Johnson.

Bay-Bay got coached for 2 yrs. first as a RS, and then as a RS-Fr., thne he spent 2 yrs. under CPJ as a RS-soph & RS-Jr., then he went pro.

I guess those 2 years of REAL WR COACHING under Gailey really made the difference for Bay-Bay!”

Your answers to the questions put forth were good enough for the ones doing the asking. I do not believe you graduated. No grad of any school could harbor that much hatred for a part of their school. You flunked out or were kicked out for some reason. That warped your thinking. Your explanation of the tweets to Vad Lee does NOT hold water. For you to offer such lame excuses for that behavior is laughable. You would have been more believable had you continued to ignore the questions of that episode. I totally believe you would have posted something derogatory about the S. Hill caper regardless of his NFL draft status turned out. He could have went #1 or not at all, you would have posted some negative comment. So take your negativity and your hatred and stew in it. You are ill served by both. You are forevermore Gollum to me. He “gives it out” to his own school (or the school he CLAIMS to be his own), but when confronted with FACTS, he refers to them as “minutiae” or “semantics” or just totally ignores them. Cone was 400m track guy out of HS.

He got a FA tryout with the falcons and got called up from the practice squad when Kerry Meyer (?) another WR that plays STs for the Falcons got hurt.

Imagine where Cone would have been drafted at 6-2 210 lbs and running a 4.38 forty had he had just 40 or 50 catches in his sr . season?

For an update on Cone , I read somewhere that the Falcons were thinking about trying to make him a Safety to take advantage of his size & speed, very few NFL safeties run that fast.

You are way off Supersize!

Neither of those guys will go in the 1st 3-rounds of the NFL draft.

IN order for a OG to go in the early they have to be exceptional and HUGE like that Stanford & Wisc. guy, those guys were like 6-5 320+lbs.

Uzzi might be big for a GT OL, but he is small for even a college OG, and Jackson is even smaller.

Jackson won’t be drafted AT ALL, and Uzzi will probably be a 6th or 7th round draft pick.

Not many 6-3 300lb. injury prone OGs get drafted in the top-3 rounds of the draft.

The last 2 3rd round OGs of the falcons, were Blaylock at 6-3 330 lbs. out of Texas and he was a consensus 1st Team A-A, and Mike Johnson out of Bama and he goes 6-5 320lbs. and also made some A-A teams.

Uzzi is smaller than those guys and has had less reps at pass-blocking coming out of college under game situations.

ahhhh, once again the ignorance…..Dwyer didn’t get drafted as high as expected because he got out of shape AFTER the season and displayed an apparently bad work ethic. I was disappointed tonight that he didn’t get drafted, but that was disappointment for him, since playing in the NFL is his choice. Since so few WR’s were drafted tonight, I would say that he is probably still in pretty good company.

Allen transferred from a “pro-style” offense at Louisville to Tech KNOWING ahead of time what kind of offense CPJ was going to run. It didn’t seem to matter to him that he would not be in a “pro-style” offense, or he wouldn’t have made the transfer.
____________

What you wrote above is a flat out lie to make it seem like CP “recruited Allen”!

A. Allen was Recruited by Chan out of HS and was expecting to transfer to play for Chan when he decided to transfer to GT, he sat out Fall 2007, and then Chan was fired in Dec 2007.

When CPJ was hired he “convinced” Allen to stay with GT, but the initial contact was made by Chan and Allen was expecting to finish his career playing for Chan in a Pro-Style I-formation.

One of the Reason he stayed with GT was because once he decided to transfer to GT, other HCs from other schools had filled their slots at RB, and it happened that the other schools he was looking at had already moved on Recruiting-wise by the time Chan was fired.

The CPJ BLTs have constantly tried to give CPJ “credit” for Allen to try and offset the fact that he has YET TO RECRUIT A DECENT B-back during his 5 years/5 recruiting classes at GT!

Please stop intentionally telling LIES about how CPJ “recruited ” A.Allen!

Played in all 12 games… rushed for 696 yards and seven touchdowns on 146 attempts… also caught 21 passes for 153 yards and two touchdowns… set the school single-game rushing record in the second game of the season by erupting for 275 yards and two touchdowns on 35 carries… scored a pair of touchdowns and rushed for 96 yards on 18 attempts against in-state rival Kentucky… recorded 122 all-purpose yards against Syracuse with 66 yards rushing and 56 yards receiving.. scored a touchdown and rushed for 85 yards on 19 carries against NC State… caught a touchdown pass against Pitt.

______________-

You’re opening up a can of ??? that you don’t want opened!

For example, Dwyer did everything at a high level for GT & CPJ and was All-ACC and got some mentions for some A-A Teams, back to back 1,300 yds. season in CPJ’s “system”.

Then Dwyer spent his first yr. with Pittsburgh on the Practice Squad.

Compare that to Caleb King, he screwed up every way that human can screw up and did so for all of his years at UGA, where did he end up?

Going in the supplemental draft after flunking out of UGA, and then he spent his first yr. on the Minn .Vikings PRACTICE SQUAD.

So one guy goes to GT and does everything d@mn-near-perfect for 2 straight seasons, and because he played in a gimmicky Triple-OPtion offense he spends his first NFL season on the practice squad, the SAME as the guy that screwed up for 4 straight yrs.

Same exact ending point after 1 yr. of NFL service, imagine where Dwyer would have been had he done everything correct coming from a Pro-Style Offense like the screw up?

CPJ offense is so well-thought of by the NFL scouts that guys from GT’s Off. that do everything right end up in the same place as screw ups from Pro-style offenses.

All of the WRs that went before Hill so far have been SMALLER & SLOWER than he is, and you still don’t think that CPJ’s system hurt his draft slot?

Nesbitt’s poor passing was due to PJ’s offenses??? How the hell do you figure that. I saw Nesbitt throw a relatively short pass to a wide-open Thomas in the Orange Bowl when we actually still had a chance to come back, and the ball landed at Thomas’s feet. Nesbitt wasn’t blitzed or even really rushed and Thomas was WIDE OPEN. How can that be a result of CPJ’s offense.

Where a player is drafted is as much dependent on the specific needs of the teams doing the drafting as on the player himself. Thomas was the first WR drafted in 2010. If I remember right only 3 WRs were drafted in the first round tonight. Does anybody really expect a team would draft a WR when what they really need is a D-lineman, or any other position? The fact that Hill didn’t go tonight is less a reflection on him than a reflection on the needs of the various teams. It DID hurt that he didn’t go to the 49’s since that was what had been rumored. But good grief, he’s still in good shape and in good company.

David Norman Greene (born June 22, 1982 in Snellville, Georgia) is a former American football quarterback of the National Football League. He was drafted by the Seattle Seahawks in the third round of the 2005 NFL Draft. He played college football at Georgia.
Greene has also been a member of the New England Patriots, Kansas City Chiefs and Indianapolis Colts. He retired following the 2008 season, having never played in a regular season game.

atlASKboy so Bay Bay got less than $2 million guaranteed money between the #15 and #22 pick Next question? You need to learn how to figure the speed your car is actually going since you put those 22’s on your hooptie when it was supposed to have 15’s?

atlxman is an idiot not worthy of response. 5150 UOAD is no better. Someone accused 5150 of being a racist on another blog and he got all bent out of shape about it. But in his post with atlxman you can see that he is in fact using racist code words, “ghetto, pimp, 22’s on hooptie”. this is probably the reason Tech can’t get some of the better talent to commit to our team. Attitudes like 5150’s are not better than WNE’s. 5150’s response of, “I have many black friends” in 3, 2, 1…

5150…im a white guy and i have never talked about race…i stick to football and yes i kind of know the basics of an nfl contracts.. when i was asking the difference in the money a number 15 pick and number 22 pick make i was talking about the signing bonus. i think you found out its about 8 million which is a pretty nice chunk of change. i think bay bay, if he played in a pro style or even spread offense, would have been around 10-15 depending a teams need.
