Live draft blog: Waiting for Stephen Hill

Greetings-

I have to run out and may be out for a minute, but if you want to talk NFL draft, here’s your space.

My two-player mock: 1. Indianapolis Colts – Andrew Luck. 2. Washington Redskins – Robert Griffin III.

for all you guys that are hating my guts right now:

If you guys had a son that was 6-4 215lbs. and ran a 4.36 and had a 40 in vertical leap and worked as hard as Hill has worked, then you would be thinking the SAME EXACT things that I am writing and you would be really pizzed at CPJ right now.

If you guys refuse to admit that you are lying to yourselves, CPJ probably cost Hill at least $3 million dollars!

You’re making this up as you go.

Well, my little experiment failed. I thought if WnE and I could develop a bit of one on one rapport and have a dialogue, it might evolve into a reasoned discussion of his feelings. But I can see he does not want anything of the sort. You can stay in your devolved mental state and stay as warped as you please. I do, however, believe that you did go to Tech for some time. Your answers to the questions put forth were good enough for the ones doing the asking. I do not believe you graduated. No grad of any school could harbor that much hatred for a part of their school. You flunked out or were kicked out for some reason. That warped your thinking. Your explanation of the tweets to Vad Lee does NOT hold water. For you to offer such lame excuses for that behavior is laughable. You would have been more believable had you continued to ignore the questions of that episode. I totally believe you would have posted something derogatory about the S. Hill caper regardless of his NFL draft status turned out. He could have went #1 or not at all, you would have posted some negative comment. So take your negativity and your hatred and stew in it. You are ill served by both. You are forevermore Gollum to me. My trying to reach out to you is over. I feel nothing but contempt for someone as small minded as you (so you know full well who I am talking to) WnE. GOOOOOOOOOOOOOO JACKETS THWGeorgie

hill might not even get drafted in the 2nd rd….everyone here knows he has 1st rd talent..pj offense hurt him. don’t know why its so hard for you guys to admit that, but its true. big time high school players know this and a big reason why pj lands div 1aa talent most of the time. S hill was a fan of tech and so was his parents. that was the only reason he went to tech and it cost him millions. other players will learn from this.

atlxman, you are a troll, but you SEEM to be one who can take it as much as you can give it out. That’s part of the “Good Ole Fashioned Hate” thing. WnE CLAIMS to be a Tech fan but HATES Tech under Johnson far more than even the more unsavory trolls who post on here. He “gives it out” to his own school (or the school he CLAIMS to be his own), but when confronted with FACTS, he refers to them as “minutiae” or “semantics” or just totally ignores them. An immediate for instance is in the blog about Roddy Jones. He was asked MANY times to say something positive about Roddy Jones, but he never NEVER said a single word. You probably realize that Roddy Jones is one of the finest examples of the TRUE student-athlete around today, and yet apparently WnE hates him too.

So we can’t get any talent but the offense keeps them from being drafted highly. Can anyone follow this????

____________

Cone was 400m track guy out of HS.

He got a FA tryout with the falcons and got called up from the practice squad when Kerry Meyer (?) another WR that plays STs for the Falcons got hurt.

Imagine where Cone would have been drafted at 6-2 210 lbs and running a 4.38 forty had he had just 40 or 50 catches in his sr . season?

For an update on Cone , I read somewhere that the Falcons were thinking about trying to make him a Safety to take advantage of his size & speed, very few NFL safeties run that fast.

SS,,,gailys draft classes have been way better than PJ. just look at where they were drafted and how well they performed on the field. the best year PJ has had at tech was with gailys players. we are just about to really see what pj classes can do. so far not too good.

@ WnE……because you are not neutral on anything else, and, in your case, your “silence” implies that you don’t like him or respect his accomplishments. Even the UGA fans admire and respect him for what he has been able to, and will likely continue to accomplish. Please tell us why you don’t even like Roddy. I would love to hear your rationalization there. After all, the blog was ABOUT Roddy, and you didn’t say one single thing about him.

he has 1st rd talent but so did the other O_lineman that was drafted ahead of him and all the O lineman that were drafted tonight were better than him. and marks offense actually improved his chances of getting drafted unlike any lineman in PJ offenses who will most likely go un drafted because his players are considered projects or a work in progress.

atlxman, I take back what I said earlier about you being a reasonable man. As has already been said Uzzi and Jackson will probably both go in the drafts in 2013 and 2014. And although this is not something to be pleased with, CPJ also had a losing record in 2010 with Gailey’s players, then turning it around in 2011 with his own players to win 8 games. This year’s recruiting class is going to surprise you….BELIEVE me !!!

That hasn’t helped Cordy Glenn. Further, he’s a guard, which means he doesn’t play a premium position and his primary responsibility isn’t pass blocking.

I like Roddy Jones but I don’t see the need to fawn all over him like you guys do.

His Academics are a private matter for him & his family, I judge him on what he did on the FB field; as brilliant a guy as he is academically, I have never bought a ticket to watch Roddy do Academic stuff.

FB-wise Roddy avg. about 5 carries per game for his entire 52-game GT career, he was a “serviceable CFB player”.

I do wish him all the luck in the world in whatever he pursues!
