Live draft blog: Waiting for Stephen Hill

Greetings-

I have to run out and may be out for a minute, but if you want to talk NFL draft, here’s your space.

My two-player mock: 1. Indianapolis Colts – Andrew Luck. 2. Washington Redskins – Robert Griffin III.

SF at #30 takes A.J Jenkins out of Illinois, same SPEED as S. Hill but is 4 inches shorter and 25 pound lighter, not to mention Kendall Wright (#20? overall) at 5-10 that is 6 inches shorter and also 25 pounds lighter and SLOWER than Hill.

That right there proves my point that CPJ’s system has LOST S. Hill a boatload of cash.

The WRs that get drafted high show productivity by catching tons of balls and they also run good routes, not one time has the commentating team mentioned anything about “blocking” being the difference maker as to where a WR gets drafted.

For all those that disagreed with the venerable WnE, tonites NFL draft is your comeuppance!

If S. Hill had played in one of those other Offenses that resemble a Pro-Style Offense at least from the route-tree perspective, then Hill might have gone #4 over in the slot that Blackmon went in.

CPJ took Randy Moss type athleticism and turned it into a 2nd round (hopefully?) draft pick!

Dear CPJ, S. Hill, his mother, and his father officially hate your guts!

Well, on the bright side Hill can be thankful for Terrance Mathis, were it not for that month that Mathis worked out with Hill and taught him how to be a WR, then Hill might have gone as late as the 4th round, of course I’m assuming that Hill will go in the 2nd Round.

My theory is that if Hill had gone to any other BCS Level college other than GT, then he goes in the Top 20 picks.

CPJ, the dream stealer, and the ruiner of NFL signing bonuses!

What ?

You guys actually thought I would miss something like this, that clearly VALIDATES what I have been saying all along?

I wouldn’t miss it for the WORLD!

WnE…why don’t you blame Terrance Mathis since he’s the only reason Stephen Hill had a chance at the 1st round

The new NFL CBA also greatly reduced rookie compensation so the benefit of going 1st round vs 2nd round isn’t as large as it used to be…

Rexie,
You have got to be kidding me. I am amazed at how you are able to spin anything into an anti-CPJ rant. Facts be damned, you’re on it. What the hell did CPJ ever do to you to make you so twisted and bitter? Or did your mommy just not love you enough. How about some commentary on CMR’s ability to turn potential into underachievement? Of course that wouldn’t fit your agenda would it?

It really doesn’t matter to me when Hill gets drafted. He is a Tech man, and I am proud to call him a brother.

Perhaps you should review Jon Gruden’s comments on Baylor’s offense.

@ Ken…..I know you don’t believe in banning posters, and you think we should just ignore them. But seriously, WnE is an embarrassment to Ga Tech; he proved it by stalking Vad Lee, and he continues to prove it with his daily vitriol that is totally unbecoming of fan of ANY school. PLEASE, do something about him and relieve us of the misery that he creates. Unfortunately, it is next to impossible to ignore him; he is probably the most hated poster on these blogs. It is not a good thing to hate anybody, but there are just some people on this earth for whom that is the only viable reaction; WnE is one of them

gorge, thomas was recruited by gaily and played a year in a pro style offense and also he was very lucky to have a pretty crazy head coach at denver who also picked tim tebow in the first rd. pj offense still cost bey bey tons of money as he has top 10 talent just like S. Hill does. i will be surprised if hill gets picked in the 2nd. that offense just doesn’t get those guys nfl ready quick enough..sad but true.

It wouldn’t shock me, FLJ.

The truth is that I really do pity him. He is such a miserable person that he feels the need to smack talk college kids and plead with 17 year olds not to attend Tech. Let’s assume his ring is his. He allegedly graduated in 1990 or so. That makes him an early to mid 40’s guy. It’s really sad if you think about it.

___________

I started writing after SF took another WR with the 30th pick, I collected my thoughts, and then submitted my opinions without any profanity or words that would trigger the filters.

It was a coincidence that I hit submit just as the draft was ending.

I am being honest about this because I was expecting SF to draft Hill.

I started writing only after they didn’t draft him.

Gruden might not have liked Baylor’s offense, but ask Gruden what he thinks of CPJ ’s offense to make a fair comparison.

Even though Gruden didn’t like Baylor’s offense for the way it prepares QBs, at least their WRs run the full route tree and do more than just “jump ball passes”.

And just in case you were interested, atlxman, Cone transferred in 2008 and played his first season in 2009. Happy, or will you ignore that because it doesn’t fit your narrative?

i think WNE is just pointing out that PJ offense doesn’t really help these kids, who have so much talent, chances of getting drafted very high. that goes for running backs and O-linemen. you add the qb position to that list as well. WNE doesn’t have to plead his case, the draft speaks for him.

You’re WRONG Mr. Stein bay-Bay played one yr. for Gailey as a RS FR.

In fact he got 2 years of COACHING by the same WR-coach that Gailey used to develop Calvin Johnson.

Bay-Bay got coached for 2 yrs. first as a RS, and then as a RS-Fr., thne he spent 2 yrs. under CPJ as a RS-soph & RS-Jr., then he went pro.

I guess those 2 years of REAL WR COACHING under Gailey really made the difference for Bay-Bay!

@ atlxman……forget tonight. WnE’s “problems” extend WAY beyond that. Go back and read some of his posts on the Roddy Jones blog and see the kind of garbage he submits us to on a daily basis. Even other UGA fans (the real ones) and a Bama fan who was posting on that blog can’t stand him and have called him down on the things he says. Regardless of what any fan thinks of his coach, a PUBLIC forum, where fans of rival schools are generally present, is NO PLACE to air those grievances with the vitriol that WnE displays ALL THE TIME.
