Tech’s Hill invited to NFL draft
Former Georgia Tech wide receiver Stephen Hill is one of 26 prospects invited to the NFL draft at Radio City Music Hall in New York.
The number of players at the draft is a record for the event. For Hill, it is one more step of a remarkable progression since declaring for the draft Jan. 5. In a draft evaluation Hill requested prior to making his decision, the opinion of NFL executives and scouts was that he didn’t have the potential to be selected in the first three rounds.
However, Hill burst up draft boards with a standout performance at the NFL draft combine, including a 40-yard dash of 4.36 seconds. Hill’s invitation to New York is virtual confirmation that Hill will go in the first round or at least early in the second. Many mock drafts project Hill to be chosen by the San Francisco 49ers with the 30th pick.
The first round of the draft is Thursday, April 26.

UOAD, I didn’t think there would be any actual tail-gating, and I don’t want to eat at the concessions they set up. So I figure a decent quick meal at one of the places on 5th Street would be good. I know there’s a MOE’S there, and I think I remember some kind of Italian place and a barbeque place too.

Could it be that the SYSTEM that Justin Blackmon played in at OKIE ST. allows him to go higher in the NFL draft vs. the system that S.Hill played in at GT despite the fact that Hill is bigger & faster, something that is normally a difference maker to NFL teams that draft players?

Because they’re idiots? These are the same geniuses that didn’t draft Dez Bryant or Aaron Rodgers until the mid-20’s but found room for Aaron Maybin and Jamarcus Russell in the top 15.
The issue I have with your statement is that you offer no proof that you’ve isolated the variable. I’d be happy to discuss in further depth at 5150’s tailgate over a Jack & Coke next Friday. Do we have a date?

Here’s what WnE had to say about Stephen Hill earlier. Good thing he didn’t go to UGA. He would have been the 8th option and would not have developed any better than Orson Charles.

Before you GT fan get too happy with our “steal” of a recruit from Bama, remember that we also stole 4* Recruit Stephen Hill from uga,and then they proceeded to recruit tons of WRs that have proven to be better than S. Hill, if Hill had gone to UGa he’d be the 8th option at WR for them.
Teams like Bama/LSU that lose these types of players and even uga sometimes can jsut shrug it off and keep on doing what they’re doing.
So. Malcolm Mitchell
So. Michael Bennett
So. Chris Conley
And those are just some of the WRs that have made ugag not even miss the 4* Recruit that we stole from them, not to mention Hill can’t catch very well vs. the good teams but is great vs. the crappy D1-AAs that GT plays.
In summary take it all with a grain of salt, sometimes these things don’t play out like you hope they will.

AH HA !!!! Did you guys notice that WnE now ADMITS that they took calculus at Tech. Three days ago he adamantly denied that fact. And then I caught HIM posting a copy of the REQUIRED curriculum that PROVED that he was wrong and that ALL students are REQUIRED to take either Survey of Calculus or Calculus I, AND either Finite Math or Calculus II.
Obviously he won’t admit that he was wrong, but his last post proves that he knows he was……Of course, according to him, it’s only SEMANTICS LOL
