First observations – A well-placed bye, after the fifth game. … Six of the first eight games are at home, including four in a row in September, and then three of the last four are on the road, including at Georgia. … With three Coastal Division games in the first four weeks, Tech’s ACC titles hopes could well be in terrific shape, or dashed, before the end of September. … Duke plays Tech after its bye week, which I think it also did this past season. North Carolina will also get Tech after the bye.

only thing to breathe in bristol is carbon monoxide. tight enclosed track and steeper than neyland as i said before. funny to have mentioned it and it turns into a nascar blog. maybe the bees and pups can agree on something after all.

6-6. Loses to Va Tech, Clemson, UNC, Miami, UGA. 3-1 vs. Maryland, BYU, Virginia, & BC. Favorable schedule except for the road trips to VT, UGA, and Clemson. I could see 8-4 if passing game improves, but I just don’t see any better than 3rd in the Coastal. Defense, special teams, and passing game must improve in order to compete with the top level programs.

The only thing I wish to happen is GT win at least 6 games, get to a bowl game, AND WIN A BOWL GAME! Those are my only expectations at this point, and until they can actually win a bowl game, these will always be my expectations. It’s sour grapes, but baby steps…..
