Georgia Tech 2012 schedule

Sept. 3 – at Virginia Tech

Sept. 8 – Presbyterian

Sept. 15 – Virginia

Sept. 22 – Miami

Sept. 29 – Middle Tennessee State

Oct. 6 – at Clemson

Oct. 13 – Open date

Oct. 20 – Boston College

Oct. 27 – BYU

Nov. 3 – at Maryland

Nov. 10 – at North Carolina

Nov. 17 – Duke

Nov. 24 – at Georgia

First observations – A well-placed bye, after the fifth game. … Six of the first eight games are at home, including four in a row in September, and then three of the last four are on the road, including at Georgia. … With three Coastal Division games in the first four weeks, Tech’s ACC titles hopes could well be in terrific shape, or dashed, before the end of September. … Duke plays Tech after its bye week, which I think it also did this past season. North Carolina will also get Tech after the bye.

Thanks for reading.

48 SHE will still be in this race, but JJ is in the hauler and it is headed to Charolette to exchange Trash for the cars needed at the next race.

She got so lucky getting through those two cars.

I love this sport, Supersize. The drinking at the race is awesome. All I know is anyone who thinks these guys aren’t athletes has never been to a race or behind the wheel of a car going 180 MPH.

Reading Carroll’s article, it sounds like Hewitt still doesn’t get it. We’ll see if he can live up to expectations at George Mason.

What a weak schedule. Tech avoids FSU again!!!! CPJ must have something on the ACC top brass.

When you hit the wall head on and the back tires come off the ground that’s a hard hit.

No doubt, Dawg48. He got drilled.

Did you see JJ learned form Danica to let go of the wheel and hold his straps once you can’t save it.

@ Devil’s Advocate, the last two times Tech played FSU, Tech won. Why would we avoid them?

I know, Dawg48. They didn’t even have a chance to break away. He needed to wait a couple laps for the pack to separate a little.

Damn. Newman’s put us under caution. Hope he enjoyed his win a couple years ago.

I wish Tech had a better opponent 5 days after Virginia Tech but I guess they followed the same trend as other football programs.

You can’t possibly root against Mark Martin. I hate the Toyota, too, but c’mon.

Devil learn about college scheduling before saying a team avoids somebody. FSU is not a set game for GT. Clemson is GTs ACC rival and the only Atlantic team GT will play every year. FSU was in the 08-09 schedule and will come back around in about 4 years. This is true for all confrences and trying to schedule games. It is the same reason the UGA vs Bama games were rescheduled as they are not automatic games. Damn those little things known as facts.
That said this is not a strong schedule and things will be bad if 8 or 9 wins don’t happen. I know the last minute VT change changed things up, but Presbyterian.

Devil’s Advocate -

He’s got the same thing on the ACC brass that Richt has on the SEC brass so they don’t have to play ‘Bama or LSU.

Mark Martin was unstoppable at Watkins Glenn. I loved the old Wynn Dixie car in the Busch series.
Speaking of the Busch series ( nation wide ) now I see why Sadler lost his full time ride last year in the cup series and had to run down there.
