Greetings-
Hope this finds you well. A few points, and we’ll start it up.
1. Guard Jason Morris will be a game-time decision. He warmed up with the team, but will test out his foot sprain just before the game starts. As I write, he’s come out for layups and is moving pretty well. If he can play, he’ll start. If not, coach Brian Gregory will have Mfon Udofia, Pierre Jordan and Nick Foreman as his guards. The double jeopardy of losing Morris is that he could give minutes at either forward spot.
2. Gregory said that his primary concern with a thin bench is defending Clemson’s transition. To start with, that means limiting turnovers.
3. Watch out for guard Andre Young from Albany and Deerfield-Winsdor School (alma mater of Tony Zenon). He is 25 for 39 on 3-pointers against Georgia Tech over his career, 64 percent.
Enjoy the game.

Any guard on the women’s team would be better than Udofia right now.. If he is our point guard next year, we might as well give up again. They won’t win 15 games without a guy who can pass the ball inside.

We need to back out of the ACC tournament. Since it is at Philips, these guys should just go and serve food to the other teams and watch other teams run an offense and see what passing the ball looks like instead of forcing it up like Josh Smith.

I’ve seen Udofia “play” for three years. I don’t have to wait to see what he would do next year. He needs to be a back up playing 5-7 minutes for Tech to make the NIT.

I don’t remember GT b ball looking this bad…ever! We need a top flight point gaurd, its the single biggest problem facing this team. There was a lot of blame on CPJ for bad turnovers and bad FT shooting. Nothing has changed in that regard. I feel like they play a little better on D, but worse on O. I hope GT can find a way out of the cellar of the ACC nex year, or the conference membership may be revoked
Embarrassing, but Gregory can’t let this team quit. It looked like they did in 2nd half

I know Tech is shorthanded without Glenn Rice (advantage/ disadvantage) , but why can’t these guys shoot ? Brick after brick is all I see when they are fortunate to get up a shot. Multiple 20 or less halves and at least two sub 40 games is proof of that . I can only hope next year will be better. Feel sorry for Coach Gregory for having to go through this.

Hewitt should have been gone 3 years ago but DRad let him stay because he had signed Favors. Favors left after one year and Tech went back on academic probation but DRad let Hewitt stay and get us on further probation and then gave him the full buyout to go away once Rad didn’t get the Tennessee job he wanted. The baseball teams keeps getting top talent but flops in the post season and then Hall gets a contract extension. The football team keeps falling apart at the end of the season when teams have time to prepare for the option. I think it is time for DRad to go and get someone who can gets us back to the top of the ACC again.

Tickets sold – 5,412. HA HA. People in the stands must have been around 4,000. Now that is funny. Tech baseketball is like Tech football. Might matter for a year or two, then they are terrible for 6-8 years.

Comparable, but the Jackets will have to win out to match it. At least they’re not as bad as the year before Cremins’ first year. Cremins took over a Georgia Tech team that had been winless in the conference and had compiled a four wins and 23 losses record in the basketball season before his arrival. Anyhow, my point was the GT basketball was awful prior to Bobby Cremins’ arrival but he was able to turn it around. Hopefully, Gregory has the ability to turn it around, too.

Biff, the football team has flopped at the end of the season the last couple of years, but it’s certainly not because anybody has “prepared for the option.” The offense still produces at the end of the season, although a few COMPLETED passes would definitely help; it’s the defense that hasn’t done squat.

Thanks for checking in Chris, I understand the Nadlickers are turning the “barn” over to the Vet school and giving up round ball at the end of the year. It that true?
