Tech’s Rice suspended
Georgia Tech guard Glen Rice, Jr. has been suspended indefinitely by coach Brian Gregory. Rice, who was also suspended for the first three games of the season, was not at practice Friday and will not travel with the team for its game Saturday against Virginia Tech.
Gregory did not give a reason for the suspension or offer further comment.
Rice leads the Yellow Jackets in scoring and rebounding. With Rice suspended and backup center Nate Hicks out with mononucleosis, Tech will play the Hokies with eight scholarship players, not counting two former walk-ons put on scholarship this season.

HT & Super beat me to the punch but I replied to him on the ball breath on the SABAN letter blog before you guys did.
It is not homophobic at all…It is DAWGPHOBIC. As High Tech said it is based on what DWAGS do.
There is a new Smart Phone app called are you a DWAG FAN. You put it on your phone and you can walk around holding your phone at peoples butts and it sniffs to see if the person is a DWAG fan. It is more PC in the office than actually sticking their nose between a persons cheeks.

High Tech…USMC DWAG is real smart. I guess he doesn’t know there are plenty of illegals in the military that can become US Citizens by serving. He sees a foreigner as illegal. UOAD, I just don’t think of either “cracker” or “red neck” as being racist in tone. Both have historical connotations that are definitely not racist in nature. The N word, however, is purely racial and racist.

That being said, however, the act is obviously degrading and wrong, and those who did it should be disciplined or punished. But it galls me that ANY muslim can take a self-righteous attitude about it considering all the acts of desecration SOME adherents to that faith, e.g. the Taliban and Al Quaida, have performed on both dead and living humans.

I think it is easier to self identify as a red_neck than as a cracker. Look at some hit country songs such as “I’m a Red_Neck Woman” and “I’m a High Tech Red_Neck”. Those songs probably wouldn’t sell as well as “I’m a Poor Dumb Cracker”.

It is amazing how you can take good kids from good homes and put them in the GT ghetto and they become a part of the environment. It is just sad how GT can take these good kids and expose them to an environment where they feel they have no other choice than to become a part of it. The State of Georgia should just build a fence around the GT campus and make it an extension of the Grant Park Zoo…So very sad.
