One thing about it, we are better than UGA and that is all that matters.

We shoot ourselves in the foot too much. Turnovers 20+, poor free throw shooting and early on the poor shot selection. It seemed much better when they were trying to run set pieces. The last 5 minutes showes what they are capable of doing. I also do not like the high picks with the center. We don’t run the pick and roll well enough to have him out of position when someone shoots the ball and we don’t get the board.
And to my UGA basketball buddies, both programs have nothing to brag about right now.

It seems fairly obvious to me that it’s time to “let Glen Rice be Glen Rice.” The rest of the GT guys feed off his offense. Also, playing more pressure defense outside frees up Miller to play good defense away from the basket. He alters passes as well as shots.

Tech needs to get back to the shorter uni shorts. Where is it written that the standard uni shorts for all colleges have to be bermuda short, below the knees length? In the old days Tech had gold stripes, not black, on their shorts, and they also wore belts sometimes- gold ones. Here Daniel Miller transfers from Geogia to flee the red and black, and this year has to wear double black side stripes on the uni gym shorts to remind him of Georgia first, then Tech second.

Steve, GT’s record of wins per year that you point out isn’t bad considering that GT only has a fraction of the talent that GA has–every year. GT seems to get more from their talent than
GA does—just saying——

Merlyn, gt plays a much lighter schedule, its the ACC vs SEC and there is no comparison. Tech plays a SEC schedule it doesn’t have many winning seasons. If tech got more from the talent it would win more than 15 games in 5.5 DECADES.

Nice effort late. Was actually a great game to watch in the 2nd. However, what I saw was another flat start. The burst was nice, but I have a hard time believing CBG is any better than Hewitt. Preperation and intensity is the responsibility of the Coach. CBG and the Tech team start out as though they would all rather sleep in. This guy is gone after next season.

why is that when one the techies gets injured, it’s never disclosed, but when a Georgia player is injured there is an indebt bialogical breakdown on where, what, and how. Then it’s reported on day after day for months..like Sturdivant. What the story here? When the yellow blowflys and Dukies get to Tallahassee they’re really gonna get scalped..there is a new sheriff in town and he’s a Swminole…sweet!

A big thank you for taking BG… our Dayton Flyers have not played this well in years!

Dayton hasn’t played this well since way back in 2010 when they won the NIT. Or is it back in 2009 when they started out 7-1 in the A-10?

Yeah… 2010 when in pre-season they were a “lock” to win the A-10 (finished 7-9) AND be in the NCAA playoffs… relegated to the NIT. BG can attract talent, and the key to his teams play is consistency… consistently mediocre. Watch the last two minutes of his teams’ play in a close game… they have no idea what to do with the ball. You’ll see…

coach gregory, lets not mistake dayton or the dayton area as a plum of academias or a bastion of economic stability. dayton ohio is one of the worst areas of blight in this country. which i fully blame on the republicans of this state.
while i love my home state of ohio lets not mistake dayton, the conference dayton belongs to or the area for atlanta gt and the acc. the last coach at dayton before gregorey was also a non factor once he left.
i for one think that the draw of the acc, atlanta and the gt will offset any defficiences that coach gregory has.
one only compare his stats to those of coach k while at army and early on at duke to see that w and l are not all that they are made out to be. could be that coach g and gt are a perfect fit.
only time will tell.

Instead of criticizing our state’s prestigious University of Georgia all the time, why not just face the reality, that in sports, we are not that good these days? Let those without shortcomings cast the first stone, right?!?

Agreed Tech 54, why do they spend so much time over here? “Rick James” can you answer that? Nah, you’d be a hypocrite so don’t bother. Please keep posting your drivel to help drive up the hits. You are a professional of some sort…
Nah, you are something though…
Rick, there’s a blog about one of your wonder boy on a public forum. Go pontificate there…bishop.

I am sure happy we don’t have a basketball team as sorry as UGA. What a bunch of pathetic losers. They can’t even beat those weak SEC teams.

How hard could it be to play GSU? Why not just a scrimmage? Geez, just across the interstate. Rick James, that’s the highway that runs thru Atlanta. Some people call it the “connector”, don’t worry you are not in danger. It’s only a term used to describe a connection of two interstates. You are safe relatively speaking.

What is it with these 18-19 point 1st halves? Enough already. Can any of Hewitt’s players shoot the ball through the hoop!? I mean, this is BASKETBALL. That is what the sport is all about.
