Uzzi, Burnett earn All-ACC honors

Georgia Tech guard Omoregie Uzzi was named to the All-ACC first-team Monday for his role in a Yellow Jackets offense that led the ACC in rushing, total offense and scoring. The junior from Chamblee High was a second-team pick last season.

Inside linebacker Julian Burnett, whose 113 tackles were fifth in the ACC and 44 more than any teammate, was named to the second team. A junior from Westside-Macon High, Burnett also led Tech with 9.5 tackles for loss and earned his first selection.

Outside linebacker Jeremiah Attaochu and cornerback Rod Sweeting were named honorable mention. Attaochu was fourth in the ACC in sacks with six despite missing two games. Sweeting was credited with 12 passes defended, tied for fourth in the league, including three interceptions.

Any of you idiots lately take a look at whats going on out there in the real world. Yes this is supposed to be a football blog, but no one lately has made any reference to such a discussion.

Don’t forget, WnE also stalked Synjyn Days and his mother. Something about playing safety instead of quarterback
________________________

You are a FLAT OUT LIAR one again!

Days’ mother was aonce an active & VOLUNTARY participant of the old bbuzzoff. com (affectionately called pputzoff. com).

I was also member of that website, me and his mother had SEVERAL CORDIAL CONVERSATIONS on that message board.

In one of those conversations, I mentioned that I had looked at her son’s HS Film and that i thought that he was NOT college QB material, but that he wasa great athlete and should play safety.

I even compared him to former GT safety Morgan Burnett in that I thought that if he played Safety FOR GT, that he could start early in his Career and maybe have a chance to go to the NFL early JUST LIKE Burnett.

That’s not stalking when you tell someone that their son could go to the NFL at Safety rather than QB after just 3-yrs. of College ball.

Fast-forward to 2 years later, Synjin cannot beat out Tevin, his throwing is shaky, ball-security is shaky, and on Defense I. Johnson is as soft as friggin Charmin, in other words my assessment was spot-on and here we have Synjin having wasted 2 yrs. AT QB and now those same folks that criticized me for being honest and straight with his mom want Synjin MOVED TO A-BACK to get him on the filed so that Vad can start OVER HIM.

There was never any harsh words or posts between me & Synjin’s mom, she’s a very nice lady and I simply shared my opinion that it is bette rto get to the NFL as a SAFETY in the 2nd -3rd round that it is to fuel your ego at the ages of 18-22 and play QB in college, I simply told her that a lot of kids coming out of HS want to play QB for egotistical reasons rather than playing what position will get them to the NFL.

The Message board ERUPTED and made more falsely NEGATIVE comments about me because they felt I was potentially harming CPJ’s chance to make “his system” work on this level, at the time they all thought Synjin was “the next coming of Tracey Ham” and CPJ’s QB of the future, NONE of them gave a DAMN about Synjin, his mother or Synjin’s future NFL Prospects, my comments were only focused on Synjin’s future NFL prospects, not whether or not CPJ finds his QB of the future.

It seems that a “certain segment” GT fanbase hates it when Former GT players realize their dreams and make it to the NFL, they would rather see guys waste their eligibility playing positions that have no future in FB to satisfy the HC AT THE EXPENSE OF THE PLAYERS that almost always come from poor or working-class backgrounds.

Once again more LIES from the GT fans!

I challenge anyone to find the old posts from that old website were I had comments back and forth with his mother (all conversation were very cordial) about what I thought his best position would be for him making it to the NFL, there were no harsh words and I wanted her son to come to GT to play SAFETY, his best position to get to the NFL.

Where is the accountability for all the LIARS among the GT fanbase and among the major Gt-themed message boards?

I have no reason to lie about anything because I have done nothing that is nefarious, telling someone that your son can make it to the NFL at Safety and that my opinion is based on my analysis of his HS Film, IS NOT STALKING, it is merely talking FB, and offering an opinion.

Lies like this just show the world how weasely & fragile the GT fanbase is, when your fanbase is made up of former BAND-GEEKS that never played any sports whatsoever in their entire life, then putzes like that view EVERYTHING as “some sort of attack” since they never played any sports and don’t know what “normal & customary” for discussing that particular sport.

Once again, LIES, LIES, and MORE LIES!

Sorry High Tech, but it is NORMAL & CUSTOMARY to DISCUSS on a message board where & what position a potential Recruit should play.

By calling my opinions “telling what’s best for her son by an internet psychopath”, all you are proving is that you’ve NEVER played any organized sports in your life, AND that you’re probably a wussified band geek, that gets all his “sports knowledge” from homers like Wes Durham and other “pro-GT one-sided Sports talk guys”.

There’s nothing out of bounds by discussing what position a HS Recruit projects to to give him the best chance of making the NFL; to find fault in that only shows how mentally FRAGILE & WUSSIFIED the majority of GT fans are.

Sorry High tech but you just EXPOSED what you really are to the entire world!

WnE…what organized sports did you play? What credentials do you have to evaluate HS football talent? Is it CUSTOMARY AND NORMAL to harass recruits? Is it CUSTOMARY AND NORMAL for an adult (presumably) to call teenagers wussies and putzes in a football blog? Is it CUSTOMARY AND NORMAL for an adult (presumably) to obsess over teenagers?

Amazing video of a high school senior from Columbia TN who kicks the ball dead straight 75-80 yards in the air. He was successful on 54 of 54 attempts this season….100%. Now he needs a college team.

Watch for yourself…it is unreal!

_______________

At this level of CFB in BCS-Conferences, the education is a “wash”.

A BS in Bus. Admin from GT is pretty much the same as one from Vandy, Texas, USCw, UNC, UVa, Michigan, Florida, uga, ND, Stanford, Illinois, Northwestern, UCLA, U-Dub(Wash.), and many other Colleges.

Since the education is a virtual dead-heat, elite Recruits need to find the school that will get them to the NFL, they can a very good Bus Admin degree from a number of colleges.

BTW, most of GT’s FB players major in Bus Admin.

WnE, here’s something you would do good to read:

Football is one of our great American games. It is the duty and responsibility of each of us to see that it is kept in its proper perspective, and that it is protected. We should see that it is used to attain the objectives that mean so much to our way of life.

We feel that the spectator can be most influential and instrumental in helping to achieve these objectives, if he will develop the right attitudes. May we suggest a few?

First, and foremost among these attitudes that must be developed, is the realization that in football there must be a winner and a loser (excepting the occasional tie). The fan who recognizes this principle gets a great deal more enjoyment from the game than one who becomes irritated, aggravated, and rambunctious when “his” team loses. We would never minimize the importance of winning, but it is very unfair to the coach, the player, and the school when the fan forgets it is impossible to “repudiate the law of mathematics”–i.e., there must be a winner and a loser.

It is important that each of us develop the art of appreciating great plays made by the opposition. We should always give our opponents credit, rather than criticize our team when the opposition makes a great play. We believe perfection in the execution of a great play in football is to be admired and appreciated, just as we appreciate and admire the work of a great artist in any field.

The spectator should remember the football players are just human beings. They perform at times under great pressure, and they, as all other earthly inhabitants, are likely to make mistakes. It behooves all of us to remember, “To err is human, to forgive, divine.”

Finally, we should always keep uppermost in mind that football, with all its glamour, glitter, thrills and chills, plus everything that makes it great, has one thing more important than all of these combined–that is, the boy who plays it.”

Ken probably quit the GT blogs and asked the AJC for another team assignment. I’m speculating here but I wouldn’t be surprised if he did.

Ken’s wonderful, objective and in-depth reporting on GT has consistently been swallowed up by a rash of sick, demented and hateful commentary within this comment section.

Congratulations everyone … you’ve turned this AJC blog into a trash pile, not even worthy of a reasonable and mature person’s attention anymore.

And Ken: Thank You for a wonderful season of great GT sports journalism.
