Georgia Tech guard Omoregie Uzzi was named to the All-ACC first-team Monday for his role in a Yellow Jackets offense that led the ACC in rushing, total offense and scoring. The junior from Chamblee High was a second-team pick last season.
Inside linebacker Julian Burnett, whose 113 tackles were fifth in the ACC and 44 more than any teammate, was named to the second team. A junior from Westside-Macon High, Burnett also led Tech with 9.5 tackles for loss and earned his first selection.
Outside linebacker Jeremiah Attaochu and cornerback Rod Sweeting were named honorable mention. Attaochu was fourth in the ACC in sacks with six despite missing two games. Sweeting was credited with 12 passes defended, tied for fourth in the league, including three interceptions.

I respect what you are saying and you sound pretty reasonable. I would just like to see the offense a little more balanced instead of only throwing the ball in desperation or on 3rd and long (I know there are exceptions). The fact is the triple option is what and all he runs. When it is stopped, he cannot line up 4 wide receivers and the QB in the shot gun. They are limited to the one formation and they don’t have an option (no pun intended) when the run is shut down.

I disagree about the triple option being all that he runs. There were several speed option & A-back option (off the A gap in the o-line) plays. Also not counting the pitch and toss sweeps. The A-back option plays were run with a fair degree of success against GA’s d-line and linebackers. Wonder what happened with the power option with the b-back, I don’t remember seeing that one too many times this year.
As for passing, I want to say do it more, but when Washington threw 2 back to back, it makes it hard to want more passing. Hoping synjyn provides some spark going into the bowl game and see what he can do.

One more thing…I am not sure what you are talking about regarding high school athletes; but I would agree with you that NO fan should ever contact a high school athlete. Sounds like you and your friend are both psychos.

I hear you and maybe we have a QB in waiting who can get it done; but I just have a hard time believing a good QB will want to come and play in this system. Lighting might strike once in a while; and I guess that is what we have to hope for as long as CPJ is here.
I enjoyed it; gotta go, so I can get some rest…early flight in the morning.

ah yes – all those powerhouses GT played when Chan was coach.
In 2007, Chan’s last year, GT played Samford, Army and a 3-9 ND team to go with the 8 game ACC schedule and UGA and went 7-5.

Here’s the facts. CPJ has a great offense mind and as one of our sportswriters commented. “Paul Johnson could take the first baptist choir, coach them in the triple offense and have a pretty good offensive team”. His Achilles heel is and always has been his ability to recruit defensive talent. Until he recruits some big defensive talent, he will always be chasing a dream. Al Grogh is not the answer to this teams problem. Paul Johnson needs to step up to the big boys league and start building a defense unit that complements the offense. Recruit some big boys and for goodness sake get a defensive co coordinator that will share the same passion that you have for your offense.

Headley, You ignorant slut. Tech graduates FB players at a higher rate than the gen pop of the school. Half my freshman class didn’t make it back for their sophomore year. I personally knew one HS star student who didn’t. You have no clue of what you speak. The schools can’t be compared academically. Probably 80% of UGA students couldn’t cut it at Tech. And that’s being generous.

As a Tech grad, we aren’t in UGA’s football league(and that does not mean the SEC), so why continue to challenge them? They won the state championship b/c of coeds the jocks there carry books for in the post-secondary college. Females excel in English all over the US, not math and engineering. So the jocks follow them from hs to college. We can’t beat big thugs like Billy Goldberg and the qb from VT this year. We will have to abdicate to them, they won, and have them play Florida for a rival game. We should take on Clemson for a rival.

Re: Georgia game…Washington passed like Nez did w/o accuracy, another manic-depressive passing performance, passed manically in Duke game w/high completion percentage; Georgia’s line was in the backfield too soon, indicating Tech’s weaker OL and the need for a shotgun that PJ is allergic to; Tech’s D could not blitz, gave Georgia all the time they needed to find receiver; at times when Tech blitzed, it caused incompletions, proving blitzes work if successsful; Tech needs tight end; they need short over the middle passes, not short, to the sidelines passes; Tech needs a Dick Bestwick, Jerry Glanville and Maxie Baughn coached defense w/old gold on white background 2008 unis

Then they turned into BABIES, when they got called on the carpet with no more than 3-5 tweets and Tweets are less than 140 characters, so there’s no way that calling them on the carpet for trash talking could rise to the level of harassment.
If you talk trash on twitter and put it out there for the GENERAL PUBLIC to read someone’s gonna call you on the carpet.

In fact, I can’t believe that something wasn’t actually done if it was that out of control. Now, posting a youtube high school highlight video on here, maybe I am not following on that one.
