Georgia Tech guard Omoregie Uzzi was named to the All-ACC first-team Monday for his role in a Yellow Jackets offense that led the ACC in rushing, total offense and scoring. The junior from Chamblee High was a second-team pick last season.
Inside linebacker Julian Burnett, whose 113 tackles were fifth in the ACC and 44 more than any teammate, was named to the second team. A junior from Westside-Macon High, Burnett also led Tech with 9.5 tackles for loss and earned his first selection.
Outside linebacker Jeremiah Attaochu and cornerback Rod Sweeting were named honorable mention. Attaochu was fourth in the ACC in sacks with six despite missing two games. Sweeting was credited with 12 passes defended, tied for fourth in the league, including three interceptions.

Fine, WnE. Even though you said you would never post again if anyone could prove anything you said was wrong and I have on several occasions, I’ll play along. Who do you think should be the head coach of your, ahem, alma mater?
By the way, you need to learn the difference between a fact and an opinion.

STILL waiting on a response from WnE on what makes it alright to harass a 17 year old kid until he asks you to stop. I am assuming (since you claim to be a Tech alum) that you are in the 23-40 year old range, so somewhere in your sick head you think that is alright.
Chuck Taylor, he said he was saving himself for Jason. They already watch UFC fights together, so just a matter of time until Jason completes his conquest of WnE. As it stands now, I would have to agree with Wrexie…it is doubtful that Jmar will be able to transform it into a wide-set va gina as his equipment is rather limited.

DAWGFAN……………sober up on this FACT. The University System of Georgia enrolls more than 310,000 students — an increase of more than 100,000 in the past decade. Behind that rapid growth lies a problem. Less than 60 percent of students graduate within six years. Graduation rates are determined by looking at how many students start in one fall and graduate within six years. Georgia’s most recent six-year data reflect students who started in fall 2003 and graduated by summer 2009. The national average is about 60 percent. College presidents submitted plans to improve these rates by about 1 percentage point a year for each of the next three years.
College … Graduation rate
University of Georgia … 82.4
Georgia Tech … 81.3
Notice these stats are for 6 years. Student Athletes get 5 years.

Journalism Major with a Magazine Journalism Emphasis
The Magazine Journalism emphasis trains students to tell stories interestingly, effectively and ethically in print and digital formats. Students learn how to write, edit, design, publish and manage multimedia publications. Students publish their work in national and regional publications in addition to The Red & Black, UGAzine and GradyJournal.com.
Required and elective courses include news writing and reporting, magazine article writing, critical writing, magazine production, visual journalism, editing, media and society, media history, communication law and magazine management.
tp jones……………………………………………….Journalism graduates begin their careers as reporters, editors and layout and design specialists in magazines, newspapers and online. They work for metro and community newspapers, consumer and trade magazines and multimedia organizations. Journalism graduates are foreign correspondents, city editors, photographers, publishers, digital entrepreneurs, critics, website operators and media marketers. Some journalism majors go on to careers in public relations, business and law.

So we know then Headley / Wrex / Jmar passed his Magazine electives with flying colors. The blog he created is well put together. The logical paragraphs, pictures, and integration of social media used in tandem with the SPH courses taught at UGA would make those professors proud.

Does anyone think that Coach Fish Fry is gonna beat Uga and their 350lb. behemoths at NT by recruiting soft, putzes from the suburbs like this guy on this youtube Video to play OL at GT:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=767cld43elw
BTW that’s Will Adams, he’s supposed to be out “best” OL Recruit in this the 2012 class.
And some of you guys wonder WHY we are 15-40 vs. uga in the last FEW DECADES vs. the mutts!
CPJ recruits em soft, and after they get to GT they stay SOFT!

So, you are one of the fans that is happy getting beat by the Mutts 10 out of 11 times. Winning 8 games is pretty good, but it doesn’t look real impressive in the very weak ACC right now. The win over Clemson doesn’t look so good anymore either.
You like the triple option, but name a team that has really won anything in the last 20 years running the triple option exclusively. There are none. I guess CPJ is just smarter than all other coaches at BCS schools since he is the ONLY one who runs this high school offense.
Keep drinking the Kook-Aid…For me – I am hoping he goes 0-12 next year so we can get a real D-1 coach and he can go back to an academy or Ga Southern.

cloudman Jacket – he won the ACC and I don’t remember that being done. The bottom line is not what offense you run but can you recruit the kid you need to run it. If they do you better watch out. You act like Tech was a world beater. Take away 1990 and I don’t see a whole bunch. O’Leary beat UGA with the Sanks fumble and Ga. teams that had no leadership or heart.

Nebraska didn’t run the triple option and didn’t run the option exclusively like the genious CPJ does. They ran the Veer or I option. They also had spread formations and shot gun formations for passing. Does CPJ have any other formations???

Listen – I am a Tech fan and grad even though you assume anyone who doesn’t love CPJ is a troll. That is OK; think what you want.
I have no problem with an option offense. I actually think it can be highly effective, but not if that is ALL you run. The spread option and all of the other teams that run some option has a lot of different formations and an actual threat of passing.

cloud, the triple option is actually just one play in the offense. I am for a little more variety, but I feel like we always have a chance in the games we play. Paul Johnson can’t make the receivers catch the ball. There were one or two clutch games with VA Tech where GT could have had some 1st downs had the receivers caught the ball. PJ also didn’t throw back to back interceptions to GA’s defense.
