Three quick thoughts.
1. Missed opportunities in the first half. The first play, not scoring a touchdown after reaching the Georgia 2-yard line, the timeout on the missed field goal. I’m hardly convinced it would have made a difference, but it reduced the Jackets’ margin considerably. The third quarter extinguished it completely.
2. The Tech pass defense didn’t cut it. Most times, Georgia quarterback Aaron Murray had time to throw and open targets to throw to. Sub-par all the way around.
3. Tech proved again it can run the ball. Against the No. 2 run defense, the Jackets cleared 225 yards. However, it wasn’t nearly, nearly enough. The Jackets needed some sort of big play or three – a blocked punt, a long punt return, an interception taken back for a touchdown, an 80-yard touchdown run – and couldn’t summon it.
What do you think?

Super,
So we’re looking for the guy who can win and win big at Tech and then will chse to stay at one of the toughest coaching jobs in the country for $1M+ less than he’d get from another program? How many coaches had Georgia had since Dodd reitred? How many has Tech had? Tech is forever on the coaching carousel…..unless people will accept reality and not pressure CPJ because I think he’ll stay for awhile as long as we accept Tech for what Tech is.

Supersize………..George is only 33 give him 5 more years. He should be looked at for sure depending on who he has worked with to bring with him. He has good football genes. Godsey was born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina on January 1, 1979. His father John played college football for Alabama under Bear Bryant. Both his brothers played college football: His older brother Greg at Air Force and his younger brother Gary played at Notre Dame.

Ole Miss, Auburn, and now Texas Tech……Tuberville would take one look at Tech’s requirements and pass out. Radakovich, “Coach you know eery recruiting class Tech has brought in the last 10 years has averaged a 3.2 coming out of high school.” Tuberville, “MAN!!! I can’t believe you haven’t won more games with players that fast.”

GT fans should take an oath to discontinue any silly banter that involves UGA. We have got to focus on the GT football program and how to make it better. UGA and GT operate in 2 different universes. It serves no purpose to compare the 2 football programs. GT can be very successful in its own way. That path should not be one that the mimics the UGA program. They are successful in the SEC. We can be successful in the ACC and so be it. I agree with the UGA comments that indicate our inferiority complex when it comes to the 2 programs.

10-1 Mark Richt vs yellowjackettes.
Paul Johnson is known for his irresponsible reckless statements of hit UGA fans in the face and get back to your jobs at Walmart, you retard. To both, to make matters worse, he said they were jokes. Joke is the Sun Bowl against a team 1 win better than .500 California. Georgia tek has not won a bowl game under Paul Johnson, has lost 6 bowl games in a row and has not won a Major Bowl since 1955.
Atlanta : Georgia tek’s student section was not full vs its only Rival, losing their 10th in 11 games vs Mark Richt. Georgia tek finds 5 ACC teams better than it this season at 8-4, yet Georgia tek played the # 71 strength of schedule all season now. 53-56 is the won/loss record of all of Georgia tek’s opponents all season long. Pitiful.
Now, what was it that you said about schedules, inferiority complex Georgia tek ?

All I know is if Tech keeps Al Groh they can go ahead and cancel my season tickets for next year. I am so utterly disgusted with the defense (they have actually only played ONE decent game all season). They truly are a pathetic joke. It seems they have been that way for several years now. I’m SO fed up with this. Every year a decent to good offense (that looked like cr@p today) and a horrible defense that couldn’t stop Sister Mary’s School for Wayward Girls. I hate to admit it, but CPJ is starting to become Chan Gailey II. And Tevin Washington is Reggie Ball all over again — occassional flashes of brilliance but totally inept the majority of the time. Unfortunately Days hasn’t looked any better. But the brunt of the blame lies on Al Groh and his AWFUL defense. Hasn’t anyone ever taught them how to tackle? And lets face reality, the 3-4 is NEVER going to work at Tech because we can’t get players big enough to make it work (and I truly believe that the 3-4 isn’t particularly well-suited for college ball anyway, but that’s just my personal opinion). 1-3 against UGA, 1-3 against VT, 1-3 against Miami. This is getting old REALLY fast folks. And people wonder why we can’t even sell out an undersized stadium???? I’m not ready to give up on CPJ yet, but the honeymoon is over and some things need to change FAST or his seat is going to become VERY hot! And the first change needed is to go to a 4-3 and hire a decent DC, because Groh isn’t even close to cutting it!!!!!!!!

“Tech proved again it can run the ball. Against the No. 2 run defense, the Jackets cleared 225 yards.”
That’s like 80 off their season average. We pretty much stopped their running game, Ken.
Tech needs a new coach and a division 1 offense. CPJ isn’t the mastermind y’all made him out to be.

This Dawg Thinks Tech is 1 D1 QB, a new young DC and about 5-6 new players on D from being 11-1.
The QB is horrible ( when ask to do things he can’t) and the DB’s are clueless. The DL played pretty well.
