Georgia Tech-Duke live blog
DURHAM, N.C. – Hope this finds you well. I’ve finished the Cameron Indoor Stadium tour and have finished counting the dozens of fans at Wallace Wade Stadium and am ready for some ACC football.
A few things I’ll be watching:
1. How does Georgia Tech try to defend Duke quarterback Sean Renfree and the Killer V’s – wide receivers Donovan Varner (Duke’s all-time leading receiver) and Conner Vernon. Blitzing and playing man coverage or more zone and wait for Duke to make a mistake.
2. What does A-back Tony Zenon do with his snaps helping fill in for Orwin Smith, out with an undisclosed injury?
3. What kind of energy and intensity does Tech play with after getting knocked out of the ACC race? Can the Jackets put the game away early?
That’s about it. I’ll be checking in. Enjoy the game.

if the qb we have can complete 60% of its passes. that eliminates the need for the qb to have a lot of carries by opening up holes in the line for the a and b backs. so far this season i dont think that tevin has taken much of a beating like josh did. reason being is we have more weapons.

ZERO halftime adjustments from Groh for the second week in a row. Please let this ole man retire this year Paul. UVA made millions for him to leave for a good reason. People that want to wait for him to get his players for his system forget that he doesn’t recruit.

This offense will take off and be one of the nation’s elite once we get a reliable qb as a passer. doesn’t even need to be a 70% passer or anything (it’d be nice though). we need someone though who consistently can hit the guys 55-60% of the time. we get guys sooo wide open by nature
