Good game. Nice runs by Washington especially the td run. Perkins looked good too.

A win is a win, I guess. Hopefully we were looking ahead to UGA.

ESPN stat line shows BJ Bostic win 1 carry for 3 yards! Are you kidding me PJ!?!? Why in the Holy-H would you burn his redshirt in game 11???????
November 19th, 20114:09 pm
Probably a misprint, GT Fan. Yahoo! doesn’t show him as having any carries.
November 19th, 20114:18 pm
I think it is safe to say that if we were any better the NCAA would make the program declare for the NFL. Another dominate performance as usual. Johnson is truly a genius.
November 19th, 20114:20 pm
I hope O. Smith is back healthy. We’ve gotta score as many points as possible next week. Our blitzes stink so hopefully CAG has some new ones for UGA. Melton played an awesome game—great catches today. TW needs to throw some passes with a little more zip. You can’t float them over the middle if there’s a safety in the vicinity—you’ll get a guy killed or an int. That said, TW played with a lot of heart and deserves the game ball.

You know the Mutts will be LOUD all week on the blogs.
You know the MUTTS will be loud at the game. It is up to you TECH fans to Make as much or more Noise back. Send the Seniors out with a Passionate Fanatic crowd next weekend. Out yell any mutt sitting next to you ALL GAME.
November 19th, 20114:23 pm
GT FAN……………..I read the Play by Play on the ESPN coverage of the game and BJ was never shown to make a play in the game. That must be a Typo. Check the Play by Play and see if you see BJ Bostic’s name.
November 19th, 20114:24 pm
ESPN’s box score, under GT Rushing, lists BJ Bostic 1 car 3 yds. As Steiner said, I hope it’s a misprint.
Most likely is.
November 19th, 20114:27 pm
Georgia won’t throw as much as Duke did, yeller bug. They are gonna line up and run right us. We’ll see if it works.
November 19th, 20114:28 pm
GT FAN go to ESPN hit the TECH page go to the schedule and click on the score of the GT Duke game. it will then let you read the Play by Play. BJ BOSTIC is not listed on ANY PLAY in the game. the Box score you are reading is WONG.
November 19th, 20114:34 pm
Would you and your stupid band of merrymen/PJ haters please come up with some new material.
If GT beats UGA next Saturday, he’ll be 9-3 (or wins it’s bowl game). That would be 9Ws twice, 6Ws & 11Ws in his tenure. 9, 11, 6, and 8 if they lose the next 2. Gailey had five 7W seasons and a 9W. And you & your merrymen say Gailey had better players, running a PRO offense. You gettin me cheif?? Better players running a more sophisticated offense, with a better scoring defense, and he couldn’t match PJs success?
With all the underclassmen (31 of GTs 2 deep on O & D are Soph or younger) returning, 8-9+ Ws is more than doable in 2012. Maybe Gailey could return and lead GT to another 7W season.
Gailey would’ve lost today.
November 19th, 20114:38 pm
Gailey had a yearly quota of five wins to hit, GT Fan! How did you think he would get there without losing a game like this?
Now the ESPN stat line says BJ Bostic had 193 yards passing and 3 TDs, a punt return for a TD, fumble recovery, and 4 QB sacks. just kidding.
I’m sure the rushing box is a misprint.
I watched the entire game. BJ Bostic did not play at all. He has already been redshirted and does not even travel on away games. It is a misprint.
The “O” looked solid today. Nice to see a 500+ offense game. Defense wasnt as bad as score dictated. A couple of bonehead personal fouls and a questionable pass interference really helped Duke look like they played better than they did. Tevin looked pretty good today. Charles Perkins was showing some nice flashes. He had a great catch and a couple of nice runs. He did fumble once but I think it was as much of a breakdown on the line as it was his fault. I think he has what it takes to be a good Bback. We will definetely be seeing more of him.
On a side note, any word on Attaouchu’s injury?
November 19th, 20114:41 pm
Anyone tracking Georgia Southern? They won’t beat Bama (obviously) but they have scored more on Bama than any other team this season. Not bad for a high school offense.
November 19th, 20114:42 pm
I know Stein. Gailey would lose at least 1 game every season he had no business losing. But hey, he & Braine were good buddies.
Clemson pulling a “Dabo” bigtime right now! 14-3 NCST, and CU just fumbled on their own 20!
November 19th, 20114:43 pm
@George Stein-The last score I seen with the GSU game was 38-21 but GSU was on the move. Pretty impressive with their “high school offense” and high school talent. I wonder how the jackets would fare against the tide??
November 19th, 20114:46 pm
I was just about to comment on that Stein …. how can mighty LSU muster just 3 FGs vs. Bama, and here GA Southern has 3 TDs??
And before the SEC wagonners chime in …… it’s frigin 1-AA, high school O and all, doing this. Bama’s scout team could beat GSU!
November 19th, 20114:48 pm
Eh, I’m probably OK not knowing how we’d play against those guys.
I do like seeing our offense run on teams like that, though. It proves it works. I’m also happy for Jaybo.
November 19th, 20114:49 pm
It’s because our offense is pretty darned good. And anyone with a functioning brain and an objective mind knows it.

If Tech and georgie play each other the way they played Duke and Kentucky respectively, they will both lose next week. Let’s quit making dumb mistakes and penalties on D.
November 19th, 20115:46 pm
This is it? There are more comments in the Georgia Blog form GT idiots about the Ga game. Guess the real GT fans are few and far between. HAHAHAHAHA
November 19th, 20115:50 pm
Athens Dawg……………..1 TD? UGA didn’t score without Kentucky giving you the ball in the RED ZONE. HAHAHHAAHA mutts suck, but hey your found your kicker again or UGA loses this game. Arkansas, LSU. or BAMA oh my what poison do the dawgs want?
November 19th, 20115:54 pm
Clem&Sons are getting Smoked like Crowell with a Joint.
Supersize that order, mutt
November 19th, 20115:57 pm
Athens Dawg, Tech fans have lives; we watched the game and moved on. I just finished showering and am headed out for the night. Maybe you should do the same—-I’m sure you need a shower after pooping all over yourself during that awesome performance by the mutts today
November 19th, 20116:20 pm
I was worried about the DU game but a win on the road is a good win. Beats me how we can blitz and never get close to the QB. O looked great. Duke only lets VT score 14 but we roll up 38. College football is an unpredictable game. Just ask Ok St.
November 19th, 20116:25 pm
November 19th, 20116:29 pm
“Greater” Athens area Dawg, that’s because most of the trolls on UGA’s blog are actually dog fans. Don’t take pride in that, it’s pathetic. Go back to the dogblog and eat your young loser!
November 19th, 20116:55 pm
Georgia will line up and run the ball straight at Tech. Anything else is dumb. And Richt and Bobo are not dumb, regardless of the opinion of most dog fans.
Georgia has a team composed of 5 recruiting classes that average in the top 10 nationally.
Georgia Tech has a team composed of 5 recruiting classes that average in the top 40 nationally.
If Georgia loses, the entire coaching staff needs to be fired and all the starters need to lose their grants- in-aid.
Georgia can name the score.
Fellow Tech fans – seniors that played in the top 22 on offense today are:
Melton, Jones, Peeples on offense.
Peters, Walls, Sylvester, Reid & Peterson are the seniors that played today in the top 22 on defense.
Everyone else returns for next season.
Tech is a year or two away from a solid team.
But can Tech with a solid team of top 40 recruits beat a Georgia team of top 10 recruits? The trend says no.
November 19th, 20117:12 pm
Just saying, go check the GA blog, over thirty pages, here thirty comments, really SAD for GT no one cares.
November 19th, 20117:15 pm
collegeballfan, I agree with most of your comments. I’m not so certain that top 10 classes on the offensive side of the ball is that critical. CPJ recruits athletes that are capable of running this offensive scheme. It is probably not the same people that the pro style offenses recruit. Never doubt that he will get players to run this offense. Having said that, he needs to make a commitment and a personal goal to go after talent up front on defense. It does not take a genius to figure out that this teams weakness and most of the teams CPJ has been a head coach of lacks talent on defense. He has a passion for offense and he will always score points. There is more required of a head coach than just scoring points. You have to be able to stop someone from scoring as well. Recruit on the defensive side of the ball and get yourself a defensive coordinator that is hungry. Make no mistake I am a huge CPJ fan, but you still win games with defense and right now we are not very good. Point is recruit in the top 20 on defensive talent and continue with your offensive recruits.
OLD MAN -- '57
November 19th, 20117:34 pm
I can’t believe how bad our defense is!! Al Grogh has not a clue and must go — 31 points to Duke — Georgia will score 60.
Why are we always “a year or two away”?
Love the Jackets!
November 19th, 20117:39 pm
Athens dog, what blog are you talking about. I just looked. Other than the live game blog there’s not quite two pages. Go to the Tech live blog.
November 19th, 20118:00 pm
Athens Dawg, Guess what. Doggies have more students, more grads, more sidewalk and hillbilly fans. I this something Tech fans should be ashamed of? On the contrary, this tiny group of over achieving underdogs competes every week with the best of the best. What’s not to like?
Quantity in no way guarantees quality. And for my money, I’d rather watch a game at Grant Field any day.
November 19th, 20118:12 pm
AthensDawg, get back with us the next time a blog count wins a game for you dude.
As for the Jackets, we still can’t play a lick of defense and when we do make a play, someone steps up and makes a boneheaded play. Besides the late hit, I didn’t even know Cummings was on the field today.
We got the 400 yards on the ground that we needed to win this game. OLines playing well and is very young. Bodes well for next year. Need TW to put more zip on the ball or UGAG will take a few of those floaters the other way. Still a good game by Washington, Lee will really have to play well to unseat him next year.
Get there early next week folks. YellowJacket alley at 9:50!
November 19th, 201110:43 pm
The Techsters have a very porous pass defense right now and had better find a remedy or Murray will have a major day. They give up pass completions at critical moments and are especially weak against slants across the middle. Pass defense starts with a strong rush which was not present today or against Va Tech.
Old Blind Dawg
November 19th, 201110:44 pm
Hey George Stein I don’t see UGA running on the Techies as we will likely be down to all walk ons at RB. If AM plays as badly as he did today GT wins big. What a depressing thought – SEC east champs and I’m worried about GT beating us……………………….
November 19th, 201110:48 pm
Just wish we could find a good high school defense to go with our high school offense.
November 19th, 201110:53 pm
Blind, you and I have expressed our differences on here in the past and probably will again, but I salute your humility on your last post. I may never pull for the dawgs in any sport, but I have many friends who are dawg fans, and I respect them for their loyalty, as they do me for mine. And I respect you for your loyalty also. It’s ok to kid each other about our respective teams, but when the kidding turns ugly, as it often does with some of the dawg fans who post on here, then I generally respond in kind. I prefer to call those posters mutt trolls. I want the Jackets to win next week; you want the dawgs to win. And there is nothing wrong with either of those facts.
November 19th, 201110:56 pm
maniac, to their credit, if my memory is correct, Duke has made it tough and close for everybody they have played this year. That’s not an excuse; we definitely need to step it up on defense, because if Murray IS on next week, we will be in trouble.
November 20th, 20111:27 am
Oops, Clemson win does not appear to be a quality win after all. The ACC is a weak conference.
November 20th, 20117:03 am
No Bean, it makes our win over NC State look alot better. We caught State at a good time with a new QB. Whereas everyone the Dawgs have beat just still keep on losing. Oh, Auburn did beat Samford & Son and FL squeaked by Furman, impressive. And by the way, who sccored more points on AL than any SEC school this year? Ga Southern, that’s right.
November 20th, 20111:17 pm
What Old Blind Dog said! I’m worried. We have not heard a freaking peep out of Athens about the seriousness of Crowell’s injury but it is safet to say he won’t be 100% regardless if he plays tech. All of the sudden the second stringer is MIA with HIS THIRD SUSPENSION and there is no news on that either.
So Tech fans, you saw how good we are on O without a good running game to keep the Defense honest. Murray was back to his old tricks of inaccuracy.
Our D is good but haven’t faced the triple option all year….who knows…..I think it is going to come down to the wire just like the last 2 years and I’m very nervous of the upset.
Just telling you Jacket fans the facts.
November 20th, 20111:36 pm
November 20th, 20111:37 pm
Im gon smoke dis bud din get ready to smoke yo defense jacketz.
November 20th, 20112:02 pm
Georgia Fan, thanks for your honest appraisal
November 20th, 20112:17 pm
Folks, the GT-UGA game is a huge rivalry game as every blogger is aware. That’s why they’re so much fun to watch. When I sit down and start to watch the game taking place at BD Stadium with a leftover turkey, lettuce, cheese & tomato sandwich (with a side of dressing & gravy) I just hope that the best team wins. No excuses. No blown calls by the officials. No injuries and no dirty plays. Just good old smash-mouth football. Anything could happen in that game. If you doubt that then just go ask Clemson, Southern Mississippi, Oregon, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State about their games this weekend. Heck, even Stanford, UGA, ND and VT came pretty close to being defeated by supposedly lesser opponents. Let’s stop all this trash talking and just hope that it is a clean game with the best team coming out with a win. I know that UGA will obviously be the favorite but when it comes to rivalry games that point spread goes out the window. I’m looking forward to the game!
By the way, I will be cheering for UGA. Let’s GATA!!!!!
November 20th, 20113:40 pm
