After dropping out of both polls following its loss to Miami last Saturday, Georgia Tech re-appeared Sunday. Following their upset of No. 5 Clemson Saturday night, the Yellow Jackets were ranked No. 22 in the Associated Press writers poll and No. 23 in the USA Today coaches poll.
By dropping their first game of the season, the Tigers fell from No. 6 to No. 11 in the AP poll and from No. 6 to No. 12 in the coaches poll. Virginia Tech, which Tech will play next in two Thursdays at Bobby Dodd Stadium is No. 12 in the writers poll and No. 11 in the coaches poll.

Nerd Herd, it can’t POSSIBLY be as mad as your UGA brethren that started this site: http://www.firepauljohnson.blogspot.com
Tell me, contacting recruits via social media to try and get them to stop going to a certain school…is that something that’s taught at UGA? Is that a pre-req to “Stalking people in their homes 405″ or SPH405? If that’s how UGA fans are, you are pathetic and all need to get a life. Who has that kind of time?!?!?

GT beat Clemson. That’s not a big deal. Being on PROBATION is a big deal and that is what this discussion should be about. Having a state educational institution on PROBATION is an embarrassment. Schools on PROBATION should not be included in the national rankings. Now if the BCS stands for Bowl Cheaters Series, then maybe GT should be ranked.

What’s embarrassing is having members of your football team arrested annually, Probation Nation. Do they rack up frequent flyer miles in the Athens City Jail?

Tech (and Johnson) is a fascinating team to watch. The difference between them and Georgia is that Tech fans can clearly see what the team is capable of. With Georgia, one ever seems to know. Something dysfunctional seems to always be going in a typical Georgia game.

A lot of you folks aren’t going to like what I’ve got to say. I too succumbed to a mutt troll once. “He” put words in my mouth and then got personal. I fell into his trap and carried on a “dialog” with him for a bit and even had a fellow GT’er defend me. I regret that now and will not fall into their traps again. There are UGA folks that come on the Tech blogs and make reasonable, complimentary intelligent comments and they are more than welcome, but the majority of them are UGAG butt sniffing trolls, and they know which is which. I get tired of the diatribes back and forth with these jerks. “WE” are better that this. “WE” need to ignore them. They are no more than immature small minded children and as such, if they are ignored, they will “stomp out of the room” like the petulant children that they are. Come on Techsters, be better than this like I know we can be. I can see that the UGA Dawgs sometimes comment on the trolls and they are embarrassed that their school is so poorly represented by these mutts.

TooBadSoSad-Your a moron. To start, the SEC is the best conference yes, however, UGA fails to even come close to competing in it. You wont win the East, and even if you do LSU/Bama wont even start their starters and still whip you. As for Ga Tech vs UGA?, how in the he** is “42-34″ a win with ease?!?!? We didnt even have our starting QB?! Nesbitt starts and we win no doubt about it. As for 2009, once again Nesbitt was hurt and Jaybo Shaw ruined the game with a pick. Nesbitt SOMEHOW manages to come back and still gets us one catch away from winning the game. Let us not forget the great game of 2008:) 2 200+ yard backs, and like PJ always says”45 is more than 42.” Finally, this year you say our schedule sucks? Well lets take a look at your schedule: the only 2 DECENT football teams you have played are BSU and USC both resulting in losses. UF is having its worst season in the past 10 years, and vandy, tenn, miss st, and ole miss all wouldnt even come close to competing against us either and the whole ACC. I rest my case.

So glad to know that football is the only thing that revolves around UGAG supporters minds. Its the only thing they can brag to us about, that and “Turf Management” of course

Probation Nation, how about your running backs that all got suspended? UGA is quite the laughing stock of the SEC these days I hear
