Georgia Tech live blog, Attaochu update
Greetings-
A few notes, and we’ll open it up.
Jeremiah Attaochu and Daniel Drummond, as well as Brandon Watts, are not dressed for warmups, so count on them not playing.
Some things I’ll be watching for:
- Tech’s run defense. Can the line hold the point?
- If Tech gets out to a big lead, can the Jackets keep their foot on the gas?
- How do Malcolm Munroe and Quayshawn Nealy do with their playing time?
- Can special teams, particularly the kickoff return team, perform better?
- How does Shaquille Mason do with the playing time he gets?
- Can kickoff specialist David Scully improve off a solid performance last week?
- How are B-back snaps split up?

GT needs to sustain long drives to keep O’Brien off the field. I expect the backup LBs to play well but Attaochu is a playmaker and will be missed. I just want a win – style points and covering the spread are for voters and the media.

I just don’t see Maryland stopping this offense unless the offense puts the ball on the ground. It would be nice to see the defense play a full, solid game. Nealy has played well in his limited time, I expect Burnett to have a big game and keep Nealy in position to make plays.

Really Brent? SC was a top 10 team before last week. MSU was ranked to start the season. Florida was a top 15 team before losing their QB. Auburn is a top 20 team. I would mention Tech but we are used to that annual win.
