All-ACC coming out, Butler joins Cowboys

Two other things:

1. The preseason All-ACC team will be announced Wednesday. If I had to guess, Georgia Tech will have one player on it, guard Omoregie Uzzi, who was a second-teamer last year. Paul Johnson said he’s been encouraged this offseason by Uzzi, mentioning that he had dropped some weight.

“Omoregie’s a guy with more experience than anybody else (on the line),” Johnson said. “Hopefully, he’ll lead by example. He needs to put in the time and effort and all that because those guys will follow him.”

2. Also, NFL teams have begun agreeing to deals with undrafted free agents, which includes former Tech players Joshua Nesbitt, Mario Butler, Jerrard Tarrant, Nick Claytor and Brad Jefferson. Butler tweeted last night that he had agreed to a deal with the Dallas Cowboys.

Butler’s tweet: “Tears of joy with the fam im a cowbooooooyyyyyy baby!!!!!!”

Of Nesbitt, Johnson said he’s recommended him to a few NFL colleagues. That might include two friends in the NFL, Falcons coach Mike Smith and Patriots coach Bill Belichick.

“It’d be great if they could get him into a camp and give him a chance, because he’s a football player,” Johnson said.

Nesbitt would like a chance at quarterback, Johnson said, “but he could probably play running back. He could probably be a receiver. He was a safety in high school. There’s probably several places he could play.”

All bias aside:
If I were an NFL GM, I’d invite Nesbitt immediately to camp. Try to find a place for him. The guy’s running power, toughness, and heart make him a guy I would want on my team.

I agree. A GM should call Nes-2-Bitts. Keeping your team probably hydrated is vital. Nes-2-Bitts would be the fastest water girl the league has ever seen!!!

Nesbitt couldn’t do any worse than Matthew Stafford. HAHAHAHA What a joke. Has missed more games than he has played. JaMarcuss Russell had a terrible work ethic. Stafford simply has weak genes.

There are about 40 million reasons Stafford is better off than Nesbitt. What an idiot.Stafford will be a starting Qb in the Nfl this year , doubt Josh will make a roster.

Stafford won’t hit the field for more than 80 total minutes most likely. The guy is like most UGA fans on here…limp-wristed and weak.

Nesbitt would absolutely crush him in an Oklahoma drill.

The only reason Stafford may have half a chance is because of a certain former Georgia-Tech receiver! But then again, UGA quarterbacks have a long tradition of being dismal failures at the pro level (Green, Zeire [or however you spell it], Bobo (lol), Belue, to name a few!!). But they did have Fran Tarkenton, what 45 or 50 years ago???

For those who don’t know, just as an update, Josh Nesbitt has signed with the Buffalo Bills and will be playing for the man who recruited him, Chan Gailey

I haven’t seen that anywhere, Phenom…but good for Josh if it’s true.

Well, kinda good…he still has to play for Gailey.

Sorry, but this is what is wrong with the offensive system we run…
