GT idiot of the year deff dumm and blind. numb from the neck up. techie does not sell regular tickets to football games when they give away hot dogs cokes and a 10 dollar bill for a 14 dollar ticket. cant raise the money for improvement for sports buildings. they have to beg for money and operate in the red every year. talk about who is dumb. Georgia produces more money for sports program in a year than techie do in 50 years. yet techie brag how smart they are but the sports programs are on welfare. explain that big dumb azz.

James Stewart… I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt… I hate to inform you of this, but you’ve accidentally wandered onto a Tech blog. Your posts will probably not be met with approval or reflexive grunts of “go dawgs” or anything of the like.

If your appearance here isn’t an accident, I suggest you get a life, you knuckle-dragger. If you had gone there for anything other than footbaw, you’d realize that UGA is a school, as is Tech, and your (totally normal, btw) fanaticism regarding athletic department finances is out of place here. When Tech fans clicked on this link, they were trying to find out dates regarding our spring practice schedule, not to see some moronic blowhard indulge his sizable inferiority complex.

Tokyo jacket, good afternoon. I was wondering-what is the biggest spectator sport in Japan. We normally don’t think of Japan as a sports crazed nation, but I know that baseball is fairly big, gymnastics was big in the day and they play soccer. What indigenous sports are there besides sumo? Is auto racing big?

UGA fans, what was the date of your last national title??? Okay then last BCS game? Listen I know you beat big bad Hawaii and we lost in ours, and you won the title outright while we shared with a team that got a 5th down for free, but please stay on your own blog.

Big question is why are we starting so late with so much to work on? They need to be out there practicing fundamentals like holding the ball by 3 points and catching with your hands instead of letting the ball hit the chest first, you know stuff you teach a kid… I still trust in CPJ. We gave Hewitt years of being terrible before calling for his head, CPJ wont let that happen to him. One bad year after ending the UGA win streak and taking us to out first BCS bowl, I’ll give him a few years.

So, ignoring all bloggers whose school fight song would best be known to the Union Army, my two cents on the spring practice situation is as follows:

I’m glad they’re practicing in the stadium. First of all, it may help them feel more ownership of it as their own place to play and as the field they want to protect from some tough opponents this year. All our rivals save Miami are in The Dodd this coming season, so I hope the sight of players and opposing fans from Clemson, VT, Kansas (simple revenge factor) and Georgie makes our team spittin’ mad and ready to block, tackle, dive, keep, pitch and (please, God) even PASS their way to victory.

The ship is righted in 2011. Go Jackets!

Oh, by the way, the T-Day game is always pretty cool. First chance you get after the collge football doldrums of summer to tailgate, wear all the new gameday swag (I prefer fratty attire in pure white and gold. no navy), and most importantly SEE THE TEAM PLAY! Last year was actually really cool with the ~10k fans who braved the weather scrambling for shelter when the severe storm warning sounded. Met a lot of cool folks. Maybe last year’s not the best example, but I highly recommend treating it as a free home game. I’ll be there to check out how we sort the QB situation, who’s on dive, who’s on pitch, the new O-line, and whether we have any passing or defense (one or the other can win us plenty of games. If we get both then watch out!)

Go Jackets!

I refuse to follow any ACC football until the conference loses its automatic BCS bid. Its just not fair to the non-AQs and potential at large teams from other BCS conferences for a spot to be squandered on the ACC Chump. Last year’s ACC Chump lost to Boise State, James Madison, and predictably got pounded by Stanford in the Orange Bowl. This is a joke conference that has no business playing at the highest level of college football.

My proposal: ACC Chump gets an automatic invite to the Gator Bowl and only makes it to the BCS if it finishes top 5 in the final BCS standings.

Thanks

Rumor on the street in Columbus is that Crowell will sign with UGA. That will give UGA three 5 Star running backs on their roster. The two that are already there turned out to be 1 Star players. The jury will be out on Crowell until the South Carolina game. Then the verdict will be known.

What is the old saying – throw enough at the wall & something will stick?

Just heard Hewitt on 790. He said last year was a good year even though fans and media didn’t think so. Hmmmmmmmmmm. Next, he talks about NCAA FB having it right with bowl games. Each winning coach gets a gatorade bath like he won the nat title. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm. This guy may be the only one in the country who thinks NCAA FB has it right. Furthermore, most people think NCAA BB is the model to follow. This guy is a complete dolt who is looking to be lauded for producing mediocrity.

I agree Ryan. UGA might make more money off of selling tickets during game day but Tech makes way more money off of its boosters. The t-shirt that says “I’m wearing this GT t-shirt because I went to GT, you’re wearing that UGA t-shirt because you went to Walmart” explains it all.

Ouch, that hurts collegefootballfan. You really showed us. I have absolutely no retort to that jab other than to point out what an absolute mockery King and Ealey have made of your swiss cheese D the past two seasons. But that’s irrelevant of course. Tech fans are completely unimpressed with UGA victories over…wait for it…TECH. You guys are the best and most supportive fans in the world. I really don’t know why recruits aren’t beating down Johnson’s door to play for you clowns. Why go play in front of 100,000 adoring SEC fans when you can go play in front of 40,000 pimple faced Techie whiners that will throw you under the bus in a heartbeat if you lose a game for Lord Johnson. It must be the calculus.

I said I don’t follow All Crap Conference football, which I don’t. I might have watched a grand total of 30 minutes of ACC football last year, not counting UGA’s 9th win in 10 years over the Joke by Coke. That’s probably pretty standard for the overall college football viewing public. Sure, I love to have fun at the ACC’s expense and make Tech fans cry. Guilty as charged. But that doesn’t mean I follow the conference. Learn to read Techies.

Brock, I don’t know what I will say if we lose to Boise State. I have no idea. What I do know is this: If a Techie pops off at his fat Techie mouth about how we lost to Boise State I will be well within my rights to offer a stinging (pun intended) retort. I shouldn’t say ‘if.’ I should say ‘when’ because everyone knows that Tech fans love to run their mouths when UGA loses to a team besides Tech. We simply do not have to take any crap from Tech fans. You have never earned the right to say anything whatsoever about UGA football. The day that Tech fans understand this is the day that you never hear from me again Brock. You have my word.

To prediction, this is one thing I am looking forward to this spring is seeing how the bback position sorts itself out. I would have liked to see Sims actually get a decent shot at qb even though the competition around makes the move to bback seem logical. I don’t think we will see a single player have the kind of seasons that Dwyer or Allen had but more of a rotation. There is a big tool box at the bback postion with different plays having different assets. Watson, Dummond, could be your hammers while perkins is your speed. Sims is a mold of both types but may come in behind from the position switch. Also there is the Laskey kid coming in along with Snoddy. Snoddy could go eather way A or B back but I would like to see him get a shot at the B first because he is a burner and hits the whole super fast.

Well, when u(sic)ga loses to Boise State, I will be the first to run my mouth about how awesome their recruiting class. Because we all know that Boise State has HUNDREDS of five star recruits every year.

That being said, I will also be in attendance of the spring game. It’ll be interesting to see who we throw in as QB and B-Back. Orwin and Roddy should be locks for the A-Backs though. Also interested to see who we’ll be putting in the secondary and the outside LB.

Luke

I honestly think Snoddy gets redshirted. He’ll definitely get his chance, but we are so deep in the backfield that we could keep him another year. Also think we’ll see a lot of Perkins in the B-Back, with Watson coming in for short/goal line sets. We also need to get B.J. Bostic some touches, whether its moving him out to the slot or swing him out of the A-Back. He’s a good looking runner when has the ball.
