Is CPJ being mentioned for the Florida job?

Back from my honeymoon. Missed everyone. I hate UGA, but now I have found love. Who knew hating UGA would bring me to my true love!
December 10th, 20107:07 am
as the end draws near for the ajc i will be there cheering when you lock the doors to this pathetic news paper and your bulldog homer sports writers. just remember all the tech fans (and there are about 100k), who quit buying your paper because of your favoritism toward uga.
December 10th, 20107:23 am
dawghater1, Tony Barnhart is the only UGA homer, he graduated from UGA, what do you expect. I did not mention Bill King because of the obvious. Jeff and Mark will write smack about every sports team in Georgia. They cannot be a expert on every sport, so what else can they do?
December 10th, 20107:25 am
December 10th, 20107:40 am
the proof is in the pudding, circulation contiunes to decline at the ajc while increasing in local papers such as the macon telegraph (who write on an equal playing field for both programs), the tech nation has had enough starting back to the early 2000’s, tech people are smart and have had enough they do not and will not buy this bias newspaper.
December 10th, 20108:14 am
I sure hope Nesbitt can find a way to play in this game. He deserves it. GT’s gotta be disciplined on offense and defense to win this one.
December 10th, 20108:36 am
Dawghater, why don’t those 100,000 show up for the Tech games? With all of these dedicated Tech fans you would think they could sell out one of the smaller stadiums in big time college football. Did you miss the interview with DRAD yesterday when he expressed disappointment that the football team didn’t sell out?
Maybe this paper employs a bunch of UGA grads because they have a JOURNALISM school. Wow. What a concept! I can’t believe the states biggest newspaper hires journalism majors from the large in state university. You would think they would hire engineering majors from GT.
December 10th, 20108:44 am
For those who spoke badly about Scott Blair’s FG miss against UGA, remember: The only people who don’t make mistakes are those who don’t do anything! And I am a Georgia fan.
December 10th, 20109:07 am
Dawghater1 – you are quick to point out that 100K Tech fans quit subscribing to the AJC and the paper will go out of business. Obviously these same Tech fans don’t care about Tech football. With a reduced price of $14 per ticket the school can’t sell 5,000 tickets to the bowl game. Does that mean that Tech Football will go out of business for non-support? We can only hope so!

Nesbitt is the most overrated Tech player I can remember. I was telling people before the season that he would be exposed without Thomas and Dwyer, and what do you know I was right. He had his throwing ability from high school beat out of him by Coach Paul Johnson and lacks the top end speed or explosiveness to excel in a running offense. Basically his most valuable asset is being a giant hunk of meat with legs that can ram itself into other objects for tough yardage.
Then he gets hurt and a mediocre soph comes in and runs this cheesy offense just as well as he did. Of course that doesn’t keep the Kool Aid slurpers from wondering “oh what might have been” if he had played vs Georgia. Like we would have gotten 600 total yards instead of 500.
In sum, I don’t think it makes any difference whether he plays vs Air Force.

the videos are looking better.
December 10th, 20109:33 am
Shreveport!!! Sweet, sweet Karma.
December 10th, 20109:38 am
@Fire Paul Johnson,
We appreciate your rant on how terrible Nesbitt is but most Tech fans want him to play, not because it gives us a considerably better chance to win but because he has been the heart and soul of our team for 3 years. We want him to have another game and not end his career on a fluke injury.
December 10th, 20109:39 am
& Sims might be even better…………
December 10th, 20109:42 am
Doug, unlike 99+% of us, you actually talk to CPJ……..stumble, a lot of things hitting at once, a new day coming with the D talent we R-shirted?

Turkey Neck will want Tech fans to punch Army fans in the mouth
Turkey Neck will have a fish fry before the game
Free Tickets will be given if any Tech fan can fix the toilets at the stadium
Tech fans will be holding up a sign saying we have eaten crow for lauging at UGA
December 10th, 201010:02 am
bean counter, i was at the ugay-gt game at least 10k seats empty, and there will be plenty of empties at the libery bowl, neither ugay or tech can fill a stadium like the gators!!!1
December 10th, 201010:53 am
we play air force not army. nice waste of time
December 10th, 201011:02 am
@ Fire Paul Johnson: Nesbitt is a warrior with courage. He can be my QB anytime. Thanks, Joshua!
December 10th, 201011:11 am
Its all the same Navy, Airforce, Army
Nobody is going to watch Tech anyway

it’s conveniantly all the same when you realize you look like a jackazz when you f up your post.
December 10th, 20103:29 pm
Really, Douger? Arsenal? I thought you had better taste…
December 10th, 20103:30 pm
Dawghater1 – the facts are as follows:
1. The Tech – Georgia game in Athens was a sellout (over 93,000 tickets sold).
2. Tech tore down almost half of the original seats in Grant Field and still can not get a sellout.
3. At $14 dollars a ticket Tech can not even sell 5,000 tickets to a bowl game.
Why has the Tech support not been there? Obviously Tech fans don’t care about their football team. Sounds like a bunch of fair-weather fans to me. Thank God I am a bulldog fan, alum and supporter!
December 10th, 20107:36 pm
No Nesbitt, you guys are in trouble. Raptor meat
AFA 28 GT 17
December 11th, 201012:09 am
The arguments against Georgia Tech’s inability to sellout Bobby Dodd Stadium are moot.
1. Many Georgia Tech leave the state to find an engineering job. Upon me and my friends’ graduation, I saw my friends leave for jobs/grad school to: WA (Microsoft), CA (Silicon Valley), TN (Med School), AL (Huntsville–Aerospace), MD (Aerospace), TX (Aerospace, TI). I got stuck going to Emory for grad school. Others were ROTC and left for military abroad.
2. Many Georgia Tech alumni are foreign and are not familiar with American football.
3. Georgia Tech doesn’t have the Walmart (non-alumni) fans that Athens has. Georgia Tech is very protective of its licensing and trademark compared to most FBS schools. It takes a more serious case to be Georgia Tech fan–at least by family association. Save for Atlanta, we can’t pick up fans merely by regional association, whereas FSU fans can be picked up by simply existing in the panhandle.
December 11th, 20109:37 am
I just hope Tech will finally win a bowl game.It would be a nice change of pace.
December 11th, 20101:58 pm
Dear Drew, come join UGA so you can become another 5 star that sucks and nobody hears from again. Thats if you stay out of jail…..hahahaha Dream team? Yeah right, what dream team goes 6-6? hahaha what a joke! Great fan base? Gorgia’s fan base is a bunch of dumb rednecks who will probably call u the N word if you dont reach the hype like most Georgia players dont. Just ask Marlon Brown or Richard Samuel. Just remember little dawg fans, If the independence bowl had ties with the SEC, Georgia would be going, AGAIN!!! HAHAHAHAHA
December 12th, 20104:29 pm
Bean Counter, if you are indeed thankful to be a bulldog fan, alum and supporter, why do you post on a Tech blog? To me, it shows that being a bulldog fan, alum and supporter does not amount to a hill of beans. LMFAO!!!
I take it you are an accountant. I am impressed.
December 13th, 20108:07 am
GT photo says it best……. However, I do believe that if we were still in the SEC, selling out our stadium wouldn’t be a problem…. I also believe that if our football team played above average football, then the stadium would be full….

and for what it’s worth, the fact that we won the ACC year before last has little or no bearing. The ACC has become a very weak conference to say the least…… We really have’nt played good football since the mid 50’s….. Sorry, this doesn’t mean I don’t support my team, but I do dream of being competitive once again….
December 13th, 20103:15 pm
Fire Paul Johnson,
Come on man, Nesbitt is a beast….. You couldn’t take a fraction of the hits this kid takes and keep on going…. Yeah, he is not a prolific passer, but in this offense, he doesn’t have to be a passer! Give the kid a break, Josh is a winner!
December 14th, 20109:49 am
AF is after it this year: meanwhile back at the nerd superbase teck has a 6-6 record. teck sucks and they will lose yet another bowl game!
colorado and kentucky
December 15th, 20108:34 am
puppie pukes, top ten recruiting year after year and all U got to show is 6-6. what a waste, but then again you do worship an inbred mutt guess it reminds u of family. at least Florida fans have class, u gaggers cannot buy it because WallyWorld doesn’t sell it. Love that preacherman.
