BLACKSBURG, VA. — Georgia Tech quarterback Joshua Nesbitt is likely out for the season with a broken arm, according to coach Paul Johnson.
Nesbitt said he hit his right arm on Davon Morgan’s knee as he was trying to tackle him after an interception near the goal line in the second quarter. Nesbitt said the arm went immediately numb. He was taken to the locker room at halftime and didn’t return to the game, which Georgia Tech lost 28-21. The loss ended any hopes Georgia Tech had of defending its ACC championship.
After the game, with his arm tucked underneath his warm-up top, Nesbitt said he’s going to try to make it back for a bowl game, presuming Tech can win at least one of its three remaining games and qualify for the postseason for the 14th consecutive year. Tech could play in a bowl anywhere from six-eight weeks from now.
“I’m just trying to stay positive, keep positives thoughts going through my mind and just keep the team uplifted,” he said.
It was a bittersweet night for the senior.
With a 71-yard touchdown run in the first quarter, Nesbitt became the most prolific rushing quarterback in ACC history, breaking a record held formerly by Clemson’s Woodrow Dantzler.
Assuming he doesn’t return for the rest of this, his final season, Nesbitt will finish with 2,806 yards rushing and 3,276 yards passing.
Nesbitt said this setback makes his role as one of the team’s leaders even more important. He said his focus now will be on making sure that Tevin Washington, who took over at quarterback, stays focused.
“These guys didn’t come here to be perennial backups,” Johnson said. “They came to play.”
Washington led the team to one game-tying touchdown drive in the fourth quarter, and almost led them to another at the end of the game. However, the rally came up short when Washington was intercepted in the corner of the end zone by Rashad Carmichael.

Thanks for everything Josh you are a true team player.
As for GT great game really played hard and almost pulled it off. I thought Washington did a fantastic job and bodes well for the future. Thankfully he will get a few extra days before Miami to get more comfortable with the offense. I for one thought he made some nice throws and made some running plays out of absolutely nothing. Great job kid hang tough and get us a W in Athens!

First and foremost . . . damn. Secondly, Nesbitt, if this is it for you, let me just say that you are one of the most prolific players in history, and we have been damn glad to have you here on the flats. Your iron willed determination will forever be remembered, as well as your domination in the stats book. But damn, that might just kill the season. The thought of starting Washington the rest fo the season gives me nightmares. Vad Lee can’t get on campus soon enough . . . Now time for another drink to try and get over tonight. speaking of that pun….. its too bad that josh was such a poor passer. i find it ironic that not only did his final pass potentially keep us from winning that game but it probably ended his career at gt.

No great quarterback will ever play for Turkey Neck. Especially after watching the beatings Nesbitt takes every game. No great receiver will sign with Tech because they have no real QB, nor any real passing game. Stop fooling yourself by thinking Turkey Neck is a world beater because he edged out one win over UGA and managed to win a very mediocre conference on a down year for the real programs in the league. If I’m a UGA fan, then I hope Turkey Neck stays for a long time because he can’t recruit and may not win another game against UGA.

How many losses come with all those rushing yards? How many injuries? The object of the game is to win, not stick with antiquated offenses to prove you can run up some yardage. Rushing yards don’t matter when you don’t win. Ask LSU, Kansas (really?) UGA, Clemson, NC State (again, really?) and now VaTech. Techno, I agree with you. Hell, we held the vaunted VT offense to only 21 points, and had Nesbitt been able to play, I doubt that VT would have had the time to score that many. There were still too many missed tackles, but somehow we always managed to recover. The D is still young (and yes, those are CPJ recruits); I think we are in better shape for next year on D than most people are willing to admit.

I wasn’t ready to let ol Nesbitt go. He’ll go down as one of my favorites in Tech history.
Nesbitt: so good, he made me forget about Reggie Ball
Our D was solid today, and our secondary was lights out.

technophobia – i agree. tech sucked in the mid 2000’s too. their recruiting has almost always been horrible. its no wonder… who the heck what’s to go to a crappy engineer school. 90% of your team are ‘management’ majors according to your own media guide so don’t even try the academic angle. your campus life is so terrible that your coaches have to sell prospective athletes about the campus life at georgia st down the road.

honestly, no one in their right mind thinks nesbitt or dwyer or moreno or green are that great of students. sure each team has their 4.0 backup offensive lineman type.
but tech fans try ever so hard to actually believe their football players are the same type of people as they are… engineers.

Sad that Nesbitt got hurt. Ironic because the injury occured due to him trying to tackle someone after he threw an interception. This player may have been a true Heisman candidate had he be given the opportunity to play in a normal offensive scheme and develop consistent passing skills.. Instead, he was
used essentially as a running back and was fortunate not to have been hurt seriously long ago. Team stats:Two passes completed and two intercepted….about all one can ever expect with CPJ in control. 346 rushing yards will probably keep GT No. 1 in the nation in rushing offense BUT we lost the game!!
I have been a GT fan since 1951 and will always be. I just have to work on myself to accept the fact that GT will never have a balanced offense under CPJ.

I’m Tech grad of ‘73. I knew the game was a loss in either the 1st or 2nd quarter when Allen ran the ball 3 times in a row to the inside for no gain, and on 4th down Tech tried to draw VT offsides, which was a stupid gamble against a team the caliber of VT. Then Barrick was the one who ended up jumping offsides. That sequence of plays, and Tech wearing the ugly uniforms with the “black is out” side stripes instead of the opld gold stripes from two years ago, was too much for me to take, and I went to bed. I did see Nez get his record. It’s too bad he didn’t get it two years ago. These white uniforms this year should have had old gold stripes on the side. “Black is out” was said in the Tech Topics alum mag after Coach Curry’s teams wore it for jerseys with the gold numbers. I see no difference in those jerseys and Tech’s pants this year with the solid black stripes and gold chevrons. I predicted Tech would lose if they did not wear the vagas gold pants they wore for Homecoming, and I was right. Tech, do not try to defeat the safety warning of “black is out”. Next thing you’ll see is those black GTs on the helmets. Then Tech would want to open an Athens campus after that. Please realize that black is one of Georgia’s colors.

Our QB’s rating last night was negative 66 – not positive 66. You call that good? A QB needs to be able to pass and complete passes to OUR players – not the other teams. And, you DON’T throw an interception when you are on the opposing team’s 5 yard line! You just don’t. Joshua was good (not great) – but in whole – our team is average to average minus. UGA=YAWN – Nesbitt had a bad interception in the red zone and you’re saying that makes him a bad QB? Tyrod Taylor did the exact same thing on a play when he had forever to find an open receiver. Just in case you haven’t been following, most of the pundits consider Taylor one of the best QB’s in the country. As for Washington, it took him awhile to get adjusted but I thought he acquitted himself well in the fourth quarter. Now that he will be taking the reps with the first team in practice, he’ll look much better against Miami.

Tech82 – his passing efficiency for the season is probably the worst of any QB in football – as our team rates near the bottom for passing versus all other Div 1 teams. His % completion rate is, I’m guessing, below 40%. That is bad. Obviously….you can’t win by just rushing the ball!! You, if a Tech alum, should have an IQ and be able to understand that. He has character and is good – but he is no Joe Hamilton.

Saint Simon,
You’re the type of UGA fan that is a joke, and very unclassy….but it’s typical!!! I was going for UGA the whole entire season expect Florida, and when they play us. To all the idiots who complain that we can’t win because CPJ never passes:
In his final three years (05, 06 & 07), Chan Gailey’s offenses produced 349, 332 & 385 yards per game respectively and we averaged seven wins per season.
Under CPJ, last year we produced 422 yards per game and this year we are at 402. CPJ has average 10 wins per season.
So I ask you, would you rather run the ball and win or have a balanced attack and lose?

That was the most heart I have seen this team play with all season. I thought we were done when Nesbitt got knocked out. But I started to feel better when the defense stepped up in the 3rd quarter and shut them down completely. By the end of the game I truly believed we were going to march down the field, score a touchdown, and go for 2, make it, and win the game. Hopefully CPJ will change his gameplan enough to play to Tevin’s strength, which is clearly throwing the ball and NOT running the option.

Still think it’s a great tribute to this team that they led VT at VT in the 4th, had to play their backup QB the whole 2nd half, and this kid who had basically never played almost led them to the tying TD at the end. We’ll see what happens in the next few games. PJ is gonna have to coach his tail end off, unless the defense continues to come around like it is.

I’m going to reiterate comments already made a thousand times: this kid had more heart and toughness than the entire rest of the team combined. But, having said that, he has more than just about any other team combined.
Now for the good news… I think we’ll be fine with Washington. In a huge game, high pressure, he performed well; his passes were very accurate. This actually bodes well for the offense! He won’t run the ball as tough as Nesbitt, but defenses won’t be able to put 11 in the box against Washington due to his ability to pass the ball.
Give Washington a couple of weeks with the 1’s and he’ll be fine.
Regardless…. Thanks Joshua… it has been a great ride!

The CPJ era is nearing a conclusion
November 5th, 2010
10:24 am
Observations:
1.) Since 1967, when GT and Bobby Dodd were humiliated by Florida in the Urange Bowl and he was run out of town by Vince Dooley, GT has gone though football coaches every 3.5 years. Dodd, Carson, Lewis, Curry, Ross, Rodgers and Gailey and this current clown and too many others to name …….all since 1967. They come and go every 3.5 years. CPJ is nearing the end of his very, very, very average era. Even 09 was pathetic with a slaughter at the hands of UGA’s WORST team prior to 2010 and Iowa. Sepptember 2010 told us how weak the ACC is.
2.) The ACC which is ackknowledged by all as the wrost conference in the USA, has caught up to CPJ’s wishbone. That boring offesne was JUNKED in the 70s. The ACC caoches simply went out and got more speedy D players and taught them to “stay home” on the sweeps and when making contact ……….lock them up. Result? Nesbitt is done. GT is having yet another very miserable year.
3.) As for the bowls ………… yes, there will be an ACC Champ and they will LIMP into the Urange Bowl but no school in the USA wants to play a 7-5 Champ that is ranked maybe 23rd in the nation.
4.) As for the rest of the ACC schools ……………whay bowl wants any of them, beyond the Independence Bowl or the Papa Beat Me Bowl in B’ham or the Music City thing. See? There is simply no respect for the ACC andc ome bolw time, y’all will realize this sad reality.
5.) Next year will be very, very, very ugly for GT w.o. Joshua Nesbitt …………who was a warrior.
6.) Was it James or Dolly Madison who pelted Va Tech this year??? That means that Dolly Whupped up on GT.
Say goodbye to the clown ………..CPJ as he will want to get out ………because his O has been found out, just like we all predicted.

The CPJ Era – Thanks for exposing your ignorance. Regarding some of your “Observations”:
1) You refer to CPJ’s “very, very, very average era”. CPJ has averaged 10 wins in his first two years. Other than Mark Richt, please name the UGA coach that can say he was that “average”. You also state that last year was UGA’s “WORST team prior to 2010″. You’re not very familiar with the history of UGA football are you?
2) You state that the ACC has caught up to CPJ’s offense and shut it down. I guess that’s why Georgia Tech LEADS THE NATION in rushing offense. I hope everybody enjoys the same success stopping the offense next year.
3-4) You rail on the quality of bowls Tech might attend. Does Shreveport bring back any memories? And another thing, your mutts will have to beat us this year just to become eligible to return to Shreveport.
5) You state that next year will be ugly without Nesbitt. Josh will be very difficult to replace but I think we’ll be just fine with Washington. But hey, thanks for your concern.
6) You state that because Va. Tech was beaten by James Madison that somehow Ga. Tech also was beaten by them. Interesting, since we never played James Madison. Even more interesting coming from the fan of a team that currently has a losing record and lost to Colorado (whose only other victories this year have been against Hawaii and Col. St)
Thanks for very accurately displaying your (lack of) knowledge regarding college football.

As A VT graduate I’m glad that my team held on to win a great game but I’m disappointed that Nesbitt was injured during the game. Any fan wants his team to win but a true fan wants to see our best beat your best. GT fans will certainly miss the talent and charactor of Nesbitt and I’m very sorry to possibly see his career end like that. That said the future looks bright for GT with Washington as your quarterback-he played a fantastic game under tough circumstances. Best of luck and a speedy recovery from the Hokie Nation to Josh Nesbitt.

I find it ironic seeing UGA fans post that “without Nesbitt, we (Tech) have no offense”, “we are done”, and even saying that “we (Tech) will use the fact that Nesbitt’s out if UGA beats us this year”, but, for the first 4 weeks of the season, all I heard UGA fans saying (I’m a Tech fan and live just outside Athens) was that “just wait till we get Green back”, “he’s our offense”, and “South Carolina, Colorado, etc wouldn’t have beat us with Green playing”. So…it’s OK for UGA fans to basically admit their entire offense revolves around one player, but will criticize us if we were to say the same thing?

It is exceedingly rare that we see any kind of class out of Tech fans when hard luck befalls a UGA player. After all, everyone of our football players is a hardened thug that can’t read or write to hear a Tech fan tell it. Tech fans are a complete effing disgrace.
Joshua Nesbitt played his guts out and deserved much better fans than the twits that he got stuck with at Tech.

But that being said, I do see quite a few classy UGA fans…they do exist. But every team has their “ignorant double standard” fans…even we (Tech) do.
DN- yes, Washington does look to be a great potential QB, and may have more speed and a better arm than Nesbitt, but I doubt he has the heart and determination Nesbitt has…not many do. Nesbitt overcomes any physical limitations with his heart. Most athletes with natural ability seem to lack in heart, and vice versa. Very few QB’s could put their team on their shoulders and carry them to a win like Nesbitt could. Hopefully Washington will have a 1/10th of the heart Joshua had/has.

He has done a fine job for Georgia Tech. The Alumni and Fans should be proud of this kid. Will be interesting to see what CPJ does. Will he stick with the ground game or try and throw a little bit? The offense relies more on the QB than any other in college football.
Like Georgia’s it’s an under achieving season anyway. This gives the coach a chance to look at the future.
Wish the kid well. Not sure if there is a spot in the NFL for him; so hopefully he will finsih up with a degree and have a tremendous life.

Darrell Royal (first major college coach to utilize the wishbone offensive formation) always said “There are three things that can happen when you pass the ball and two of them are bad.” Add getting your quaterback injured for the season while trying to tackle the man who intercepted him and you’ve got that ratio increasing to three-out-of-four.

As one of few female college football fans, I have enjoyed watching the genius of Paul Johnson’s offense. When many schools are using the more pro-style “flashy” passing game, Johnson prefers to use speed and brains. It is interesting to watch him “read” the opponent’s defense and send in plays accordingly. Of course, the triple option is a precision offense. As has been seen many times, when executed with precision, it works extremely well and is noted by other teams as one of the most difficult offenses to beat. On the flip side, when timing or reading is off, troubles ensue. Johnson recruits players who will fit his scheme- not the ones who will use the school for as a stepping stone to the NFL. He tells them there is no room for a player craving fame and glory. Johnson is an offensive genius- just like last night- the plays were there but the execution was not. He took the team to the ACC championship with the same offense he’s running now. There will be other great years- hopefully, the rest of this year and all of next. Go Jackets, Pau Johnson, and THWG!!!

Sorry to hear about Josh. He is tough as nails.
However, once he got warmed up, Washington showed some poise.
When Washington scored (and passed) against a good defense like VT, it brought to light what Johnson and Groh are trying to do at Tech — put together a solid system.
Johnson has never stated that this was the ‘Joshua Nesbitt Show.’ He has always talked about his system.
Interchangeable parts in a successful system.
P.S. This ‘high school offense’, as some people call it, is really racking up some yards in the NCAA.

I became a great admirer of Josh Nesbitt’s tenacity during the first Clemson game last year–2009. He just made up his mind that he was going to win the game. Period. No true fan ever wants to see a player’s season end this way. Real fans want to beat a team–any team–when that team is at its best. Just as real Tech fans walk around with “To Hell With Georgia” never very far away from their lips as a true Georgia fan I pull for the Dogs and whoever is playing Georgia Tech, but can still admire and appreciate athletic excellence. If Nesbitt does come back and play in a bowl game I hope he does so only if there is no chance of doing any further damage. I wish him the best and hope he can find a spot to play in the NFL. Now, having said all of that–To Hell With Tech!

CPJ will keep the program on the right track, but Josh was the perfect student athlete at the most important position to jump start CPJ’s tenure at Tech. I also would like to thank those Dawg fans that showed the class that the states largest university deserves. There is so much negativity and classless commenting that goes on in these blogs, it makes me want to puke! As if any of you loud mouthed idiots could even carry the shoes of any of the walk-ons at either of these fine institutions. Thanks again Josh for all you have given. It always makes me sick when a player is injured and I am saddened by Nesbitt’s broken arm. Hopefully, he will have a speedy recovery. As a Dawg fan, please ignore the ignorant remarks made by “so-called” Georgia fans. I am convinced that some over-zealous Tech fans made these comments to make Georgia look bad just like I think overzealous UGA fans make outrageous comments on the Georgia blogs to make Tech fans look bad. Just like anything else, a few people ruin it for everyone. I don’t know any Georgia fans who would truly rejoice at a young athlete’s injury just like none of the Tech fans I know would take pleasure at a UGA athlete’s injury. I think it is the same handful of bad apples on both sides who make both fan bases look ignorant and hateful. Josh, please know that all kinds of Georgians are pulling for you to have a full recovery.
William Lothridge
November 5th, 2010

I knew Billy Lothridge and Nesbitt is no Billy Lothridge, maybe the most complete QB in recent GT history and dating even way back to early 50s. He played in the 1961- 63 era or so. One of my all time favorites as a kid. One of my favorites of all time and I am a proud UGA Bulldog.
Lothridge could punt, he could kick FGs and he could run and he could throw. He was like 2cnd or third in the nation in most all of these categories and was second only to Heisman recipient Roger the Dodger Stauback. Now …………..HE WAS a QB ……..RIP Billy.
Lothridge also played in the big boy SEC.
Nesbitt? He will make it in the NFL as a safety or maybe big flanker. He tired hahrd and he is a warrior for sure. he would have been a swell safety at UGA or Auburn or maybe SC or UT. As GT QB he did very well. Congrats.
GT in the rest of 2010? Folks ………….gonna get ugly and my Bulldogs, as awful as we are, will slaughter GT like 45-16. Cannot wait. had Johsua played? Oh, yeah ………….45-24 or one of those 45-38 jobs.

A young man totally accepts a new coach’s offensive philosophy that was so different than any offense he has run in the past. For God’s sake Nesbitt was a shotgun QB in high school. He accepts the challenge to change himself to a triple option QB getting the hell knocked out of him on almost every other play. He far exceeds any expectations I had for him and leads his team to a conference title. He freaking rips the ball out of a FSU players grasp when he could have been spooning with Joe Cox at Talledega. And you UGA fans and some Tech fans want to rip on the guy because of his passing ability this year. Shame on you. Most of you Dawg fans on here really can’t spell – that’s why you spell “class” without the “cl”, and most of you don’t know much about football except how to get your players out of jail long enough to win a game against Louisiana-Lafayette and then have them arrested again because they drive without a valid drivers license and hit parked cars in parking decks (your coaches have to now check their licenses each week!), but they get to come back and play in an SEC game – real “cl”ass! Coach Paul Johnson and Joshua Nesbitt both have more class than you can understand or comprehend. As far as a high school offense is concerned, Joshua Nesbitt ran it really well right up your rear end for the last two years – the first one spotting you 16 points at halftime with the “Pre-Season No. 1 Team In The Nation” – your best team in decades, and last year he ran it again just couldn’t put the points on the scoreboard but had you scared right there at the end – “another come-back?”. Nesbitt has guts, desire, heart, determination, and a will to take his team to greater heights than most thought possible. He sacrificed himself because he is a team player – again, something ya’ll don’t understand – and his records will speak for themselves for years to come. Everyone thought Tech would have nothing this year with four (4) major players going in the NFL draft leaving Nesbitt to carry on – he did, he has, and his efforts will inspire others. He was the warrior Coach Johnson needed – the guy willing to change his strengths and talents to be a “team player” and make the system work so the “team” could win – on and off the field. Nesbitt deserves to be in the record books and he will be missed, sorry his senior season had to end this way, but he went out with the ACC record and a 71 yard touchdown run against the vaunted VT-Bud Foster defense. I’ll take class like Coach Paul Johnson and Nesbitt anyday over Dawg “cl”ass! THWG! Thanks, Nesbitt for all you did for Georgia Tech – hope your recovery is swift and complete – you have better days ahead as a GT graduate! High School Offense – your highly-paid-for Semi-Pro Defense couldn’t stop it – now, I’ll take fries with my order and you might get off at the fast food joint to watch the Dawgs win one over Idaho State this week – then have nightmares over Auburn and possibly a different style high school offense in Athens right after Thanksgiving. How many have you won over Florida in the last 21 years? And, how many do you have to win now to be “bowl eligible” this year? CPJ will be at Tech for a long time and he will be your Huckleberry!

I’m genuinely sorry that Josh Nesbitt’s regular season ended this way. He’s a tremendous athlete and leader. Judging from his comments in this article, he’s truly a class act. While I’m thrilled my Hokies won, I’m appreciative of the fact that the final score might have been quite different if Nesbitt hadn’t broken his arm. That being said, Washington played very well under the cicumstances. Best wishes to Nesbitt. I hope he plays one more college bowl game in his college career. Thanks to GT for an exciting game.

“2 completed passes in 4 quarters is pathetic”
Maybe. But it’s more pathetic that VPISU was losing to a team with ZERO completions for more than 3 quarters. GT outplayed VPISU for the majority of the game. No one is impressed with your large high school stadium and your bottom tier education.

Quite funny that the UGA fans now put down Bud Foster. Sour grapes since he turned down your larger money offer to coach in the mighty SEC? Given his options, he preferred a school with 7-9 offseason arrests/year. 10 gets tough to coach around, I guess.

GT Baby is mostly right. This team has little heart. The coaching is poor. Neither line is any good. Nesbitt and Roddy Jones have all the heart on the team. Any coach who would be happy to be 2nd to last nationally in passing is insane. It would be ok if we were winning our games, but we are not winning them and looking very bad in losing. Anyone can move the ball on us, almost at will. I think we will beat Duke and lose the rest. Bad season. Really, really pitiful. Lucky for us that UGA is awful too, so the Dawgs can’t give us as hard a time as they would really like. Still, when we play them, they will run over us as they did last year. There is NOTHING solid about our team except our place kicker. Sad, but true.

Done sell the new QB short, he did take a quarter to get acclimated, but had the special teams not given the game away, Tech would have had a chance in overtime. Also, those ACC refs have a way of thwarting some the stuff UGA pulled in Atlanta last year. Just wait and see what happens before they play, maybe the doggies want be so boisterous when they play the Jackets. Second the defense finally showed some ability in the VA Tech game (got tired playing 65% of the game), and Va Tech’s QB is definitely better than the rookie at UGA.

Nesbitt was one of the greatest ever, and THE spark for this team. With him sadly gone, we do at least have to grin that the defense is much, much better. We need to get behind Tevin Washington with our hopes and prayers. That young man is no slouch himself.

Nesbitt, I hate this happened to you and GT, ecspecially in the crucial game of ‘10 season, but we should have still beat Turkey Tech! TW, you did a decent job with the option, just relax, and read the D.
Nesbitt, you were good at that, 95% of the time so we expect you to help TW. TW, your passes were looking great, until you locked in on the last one in the endzone, so I forsee the playbook evolving if you keep up the crisp passing.
Nesbitt, again thanks for sticking around for your senior season; I have said all season long though that heisman website was a mistake and jinks.

I read through the majority of these remarks and it seems 90% are wishing Nesbitt a fast recovery.
But if the tables are turned Tech fans by far have less class. Just look at some older blogs to see.
It always turns into SAT scores of our school. True you a a student body you may have that but football players are football players. Put your players in any sport up againt your student body and I bet they are all well off the mark. So that argument is so far off the mark it boarders on retardation.
I hope Nesbitt recovers quickly. And as for Tech fans remeber you have to have thick skin also if you wish to throw stones.

Yes, I am a Dawg fan but I am truly sorry to hear about the injury to Nesbit. The young man is a warrior and man oh man can he run that offense. I hope he has a speedy and full recovery and can make it back for a bowl game. I rarely read these blogs because I get so tired of the idiots on both sides that have nothing else to do but talk trash even when an athlete makes a bad judgement or suffers from an injury.

This really isn’t a good year to be giving the Tech Fans ammo to use against you or our DAWGS. If you havent noticed we are not that good either. And no player should be laughed at for getting hurt. All these kids are playing hard while the schools get rich off their jersey sales. If you were the one that got hurt and you see your possible career flash in front of you, you would not like your remarks. Plus it shows a lack of class and reflects on all DAWG Fans. And I really don’t want some idiot making my DAWGS look any worse then we are. Win with Honor, Lose with Honor and never wish anything bad for the kids out there playing a game.

here is my comment on you know whose espn blog after she announced weekly helmet stickers ..
you know lady you are pathetic…GT’s Joshua Nesbitt became the all time ACC QB leading rusher and even scored two td’s before he went out with a broken arm and your hate for GA Tech you cannot even acknowledge that. Bet you danced a jig when Nesbitt went down, God, I hope ESPN gets rid of you, you want to know why the ACC is a joke, because the ACC is cursed by having some nuckle brain dimwit like you for the blog writer

Please keep your non-constructive commits to yourself. If you haven’t noticed our DAWGS aren’t in that good of shape either. so why would you give Tech Fans ammo to use against you or the DAWG NATION. Frankly your unclassy remarks reflect on all DAWG Fans and I don’t care for the way you make us look.
Why would you make fun of a kid that is injured. You have no right calling yourself a fan of any sport if that is the way you react to an injury. That goes for anyone including Tech Fans. These kids are out on the field making the school richer while putting their career at risk.
Last thing to think about.
If it were you or your kid out there would you wish anything bad happen to them.

For all you guys who don’t think this team has heart or that the coaches don’t know what they are doing, IMO you don’t know crap about real football.
Joshua, you are a real football player and a great leader for this team.
The VT folks that I visited with this week are 100% convinced that if you had not been hurt VT would have lost.
And for all the rest of you guys on this blog, the VT folks also had good things to say about Washington coming in cold and playing very well after he got over the initial jitters.
No one left that stadium until it was over.
Our team played very well against a damn good VT team and they never, never gave up. And Kudos to Al Groh and his defense. They were well prepared and did an execellent job of containing Taylor and slowing down a very good VT offense. Our defense played a really good game.
The future is very bright.

Tremendous player. I hope he gets a chance to play in the NFL. I doubt he’d make it as a QB, maybe a running back but man what heart. What team wouldn’t want a player like that. Show me another QB who broke his arm making a tackle!
Tevin Washington will be a better player next year for the opportunities he’s getting this. I bet they win at least one more and can go to a bowl.

My arm hurts. I don’t think I hurt it trying to make that tackle. I think I hurt it trying to throw that pass. I know the receiver was covered but I thought I could throw a touchdown anyway. Afterall, I am a Heisman candidate. Now if I can’t play I think I will go get me a job as an engineer as I am in school at GT, the greatest engineering school in the world. 5150 POAD went here too and just look at how successful he is. I hope Nesbitt has a long and prosperous carrier with the NFL. Hope his arm heals with no complications but most breaks take 6 to 8 weeks to heal and a few more to strengthen up to playing condition so a bowl game is probably out of the question. Sorry to see such a talent get hurt.

Bare in mind big guy. The only difference between Auburn, undefeated leader of the SEC and Clemson is a wiggle by Clemson center in OT. Clemson is the 5th best ACC team. LSU barely beat NCarolina’s JV team. Soon, FL will play FSU, Clemson will play SCar, and GA Tech will play UGA.
