Georgia Tech’s non-conference hoops opponents

The Yellow Jackets, who went 23-13 last season and reached the second round of the NCAA Tournament, will also host UNC-Charlotte, Charleston Southern, Albany, Niagara, Fordham, and UT-Chattanooga.

Unfortunetly I don’t really have anything else to say about this blog. We should be able to take care of business out of conference.

Our OOC schedule is as weak as an SEC football team’s. What a joke.

Why don’t we just play some of the local high school teams, it would be better competition. That is a joke. Who would pay to see us play those teams? WEAK!!

Don’t forget, there are also neutral site games against Richmond, UTEP, and either Syracuse/Michigan….and there are true road games against Siena and Northwestern.

Alabama is dodging a return game here, which doesn’t help the home slate.

With this home schedule, and with the ACC being somewhat down, we should be able to get to 22 wins and 9 in the ACC….

Ok, so first and foremost, even with those possible neutral site games and road games, that is an absolutely pathetic OOC schedule. I agree with the person who said just play local high school teams. If we don’t AT LEAST win all of our home OOC games, and have a winning record in ACC play, Hewitt is gone. He is down to his last chance in my opinion. Another crappy season and it is time to boot him, even though it should have happened years ago. One winning season in ACC play. That is all you need to know about the idiot

That type of pathetic OOC schedule will not get you in the tourney even with a 10-6 acc record. See vt last year.
And we know they won’t go 10-6 in the conference. I bet they lose at least 2 ooc games and go 8-8 in the acc at best and another missed ncaa tourney.

Wow….. That is an embarrassingly pathetic OOC schedule. We should win ‘em all but with Hewitt at the helm we’ll probably lose five or so.

Teddy, do you really think Paul Phewitt can win 8 games in the ACC?.He has only done it once in 10 years?

I know it your job Doug, but please no more updates reminding us of the worst Coach in the history or Men and Women Sports in the NCAA. It’s football seaon!!!

Looks like GT will only play 4 fairly good schools OOC – UGA, Charlotte, the game in AC and the game in the ACC-Big 10 challenge.
On paper, the ACC schedule is easier – only 1 game a piece against the 3 schools who have won NC’s in the last decade

Hewitts still the coach, so dosent matter who we play. Hewitt isnt trying to get any of these super stars that UGA keeps getting, because they want to stay 4 years and dont have enough tattoos on them.

Wow, and DRAD wants me to pay $560 to watch those games? Yikes. I’m really having a hard time justifying renewing my season tix. Geez, I love my school and enjoy going to the TIT with my buddies, but other than the ACC games there is not one compelling game to go see. I would have a hard time giving the non ACC game tickets away.

Somebody please tell me why I need to renew my tix, other than to keep my priority and be able to have decent seats when/if the program ever turns around.

Oh, and we are going to spend how much to completely renovate the TIT again? So we can have even more empty seats? DRAD, please explain.

I WAS a big CPH fan and still basically like him as a person, BUT, with missed expectations for 5 years in a row – it’s time to go. If anyone missed expectations 2 yrs. in a row in any other profesion, you are GONE. I have had season tickets for 28 straight yrs. in the seats that I want better than any other in the AMC, BUT renewing this yr. is a real dilemma. I love GT, but with not meeting expectations for 5 yrs., it’s hard to justify renewing season tickets with this terrible home schedule and NO player over 6′6″ that has proven they play in this league. We Will get killed inside. What to do?
