Let’s do a mailbag to kick off the start of Georgia Tech’s practice on Thursday. But let’s do it with a twist.
Instead of posting questions on this blog, please post your questions on twitter at @ajcgatech. If you don’t have a twitter account, it only takes a second to sign up and find me. I will answer your questions on the blog here.
In addition to the news I will be putting on the blog throughout practices and the season, I will be tweeting a lot. With the proliferation of smart phones, it’s a quick, efficient way to get your news about all of Georgia Tech’s sports from the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

What’s with the big push for Twitter? Do you get some kind of kickbacks somehow? What’s wrong with putting questions in the comments section?

I don’t have Twitter, I don’t like Twitter, and I don’t want Twitter. Although what bluecode just says makes it sound a little better, if that is correct.

Remember that time the ACC Championship was played by two teams that had lost to two mid-range SEC East teams the week before? That one was a classic.
I think Raymond James only ended up with 30,000 or so empty seats. It was a great day for both programs. Congrats to both participants and especially the the aye-she-she champion Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. My your great legacy live on forever.

Jarvis — first, learn to spell. Second, if you don’t like Tech, then go away from the Tech board. As I’ve said before, 3-17 against Florida, my friend, and so all you Bulldogs can do is bash Tech and complain about Richt. Get a life. While I hope it’s not true, because I pull for UGA when they’re not playing Tech, you know in your heart of hearts that you’re going to get worked over this year again by Florida, and it just drives you all crazy.

superDawg, not true. Your backup QBs played last year more than ours did. The option injuring QBs is a myth. CPJ’s QB’s don’t miss plays because they got hit – they’re tough and they build muscle to insulate them from the hits. The hits that usually get you hurt as a QB are 1) blindside sacks and 2) hits that stop the throwing motion. See Christian Ponder, Colt McCoy, and Sam Bradford. Nesbitt rarely gets hit without the opportunity to lower his shoulder. If he gets hit while throwing, he is usually throwing on the run, so he doesn’t get the kind of severe shoulder injuries you see in other QBs.
Our 2nd string is entering his 3rd year in Atlanta. He has been practicing in our system for two years, ran one similar in high school, and played the whole spring with the first team. Your 2nd string QB was in high school three months ago. I’ll take Washington over what’s his name.
